Pros: the location was close enough to Manitou Springs, which is where most of what we did was. The property was clean and the breakfast area had a beautiful view of Pikes Peak. The breakfast choices were good each morning. Plenty of protein and carbs. And the woman who maintained it each morning was amazing! Highly suggest tipping her if you agree! The pool area was nice and clean. Cons: the parking was horrendous! 95% of it was down a very steep decline in the back. It was a shared lot with another hotel so the spaces would fill up quickly towards the evening. You were lucky to find a spot. There was no place to park when we checked in so we had to trek our luggage up that steep hill and around to a door. The rooms were tiny! And we had a suite! The pullout couch mattress was so horribly bad. My husband took it off and put it on the floor each night along with some extra blankets for padding. The bathroom was tiny and the water pressure was also very bad. The shower hardly put out water to the point we had a hard time staying wet and rinsing out the shampoo from our hair. And the toilet hardly held water in it so flushing was interesting. Just FYI when you do more than pee. ;) It was kind of crazy. The only critique about breakfast is to add fruit other than apples and oranges. The apples were overripe and the oranges weren’t really eaten. Maybe some canned fruit? We would not stay here again. There were better choices now that we’ve stayed there.

Esmeralda, Front Desk Associate, deserves many gold stars for her top-notch service. She is so very friendly, approachable, attentive, and professional. Thank you, Esmeralda, for your overall kindness. Hotel is located within a shopping center so there are restaurant and stores within walking distance. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. They are concerned with everyone's safety so doors are locked during the evening hours and access is granted using your room key. Breakfast was made for everyone's needs. Turkey sausage, pork sausage, egg-white omelets, scrambled eggs, world-famous cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, etc. Breakfast host kept everything well-stocked and tables clean. Home away from home.

This understated hotel was an excellent choice when needed while waiting for vacancy at my work retreat hotel. The shuttle service from airport was a short wait, worth it for the tips on the area from the driver. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The pool and jacuzzi were nice amenities as well. The room was spacious and the bathroom counter was a treat for the female traveler. The bed allowed me the best sleep I have had while on travel in a long time, truly! I recommend this hotel. The basics are delivered spectacularly.

The hotel was a nice place to stay for one overnight. The check in was easy and not much information provided by the staff. The room was a king bed and a nice sized room. Everything in the room looked new and a large TV was nice. There was medium sized refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. I was on the 3rd floor and there was no ice machine, only on the 2/4 floors. There is an airport shuttle but only on Monday - Friday, which I didn't like. Next door is another Holiday Inn and they have an airport shuttle, but same thing only Monday - Friday. I think it would make sense to have 7 day shuttles with overlapping days so they could have 7-days a week coverage, that would be my suggestion. Would be higher ratings in my opinion if they had 7 days. The breakfast wasn't much and a to go grab bag. Again, I understand this isn't a 5 star place. The room was nice though, Holiday you are almost there but not quite.
