Difficult review to write as I think I got them on a bad day, firstly the facility is in a great location just off main, lots of super restaurants all within walking distance from the hotel. Check in was a disaster, we were given the wrong room number on our key card, I was just about to go back to reception when the lady who checked is appeared on the floor to correct the room number. The room was great, I suspect it was an upgrade as I am a Diamond member although this was not acknowledged at check in. I was not asked about a welcome bonus points and never received any. I went then to park the car, I found it ok (pretty straight forward so not sure why it is commented on so much here) but the key card had not been properly activated- meaning backing up and apologising to the people in cars behind me waiting to get in. The key was recut and all worked well after that. Breakfast was average at best, after a mix up about whether I had to pay or not what was served was more Holiday Inn Express than Holiday Inn. We were leaving very early on our final day so I tried to settle up and complete all payments the night before as there was customers in reception- they would not allow me to do that and assured me someone would be there when we were departing. The receptionist on when we left seemed to be having a bad night, no interaction at all, I requested the invoice be emailed to me but it never arrived. All in all the location is great, service was poor for me - but as I say I got the feeling I got them on a bad day, I think there are other better options in the area.

I must say my children an I we have been throughout our share of hotels from marriotts to hiltons to just ur regular quality and I have to say by far my kids and I have been so welcomed and just felt like we are apart of a big family ... The hotel is on the edge of the highway. There is free parking. The rooms are clean and odor-free, and the beds are relatively large. Breakfast is relatively simple. There are Starbucks and Chick-fil-A on the side, but there are no other shopping places. Generally speaking, it is especially suitable for guests passing by overnight.

GGuest UserMy daughter and I stay here for daddy daughter night for women's basketball. The location is perfect as you can walk to the arena and the service is always amazing. It is an older hotel and they charge for parking even though it is a dedicated lot - seems that would be included as they aren't validating from a garage. Breakfast wasn't the best this year but is included- we will be back.

Great for walking. Great for walking with little ones. Everything worth seeing is soooo close. My daughter and I truly enjoyed it and still are enjoying ourselves.

GGuest UserMy daughter and I visited UofSC for a college tour on a very busy weekend in COLA, so accommodations were very limited. I hesitantly booked the Sheraton after reading several poor reviews and rude responses from management. After some research and confirmation on site, I learned that this hotel has a new, and very well liked General Manager as of Dec. 2022. It showed, and I highly recommend a stay at the “new and improved” Sheraton Columbia. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful (Hannah went above and beyond), charmingly old rooms were fresh and very clean, our request for a quiet room (14th floor) was met without hesitation, the location was perfect for walking all over the city and to campus (Uber for longer distance). It would be nice to upgrade offerings in Club Lounge (decent food, wine/beer), but disregard former reviews and give this hotel a fresh start!

AAshley NapierBeware of this hotel! Stayed nearly 30 days here. Had over $2000 still unresolved Fraud charges on two of my cards used at this hotel. Was harrassed daily even when room had been paid in full. Double charged twice during the stay tying up much needed funds that took over a month to get credited and refunded! Police were called , ultimately forced to leave a night I paid $165 for! Waited hours at the desk. They would run my card so many times and have it flagged for fraud - forcing me into hours on phone held hostage in their lobby while I had to call my bank and fight to have fraud alert lifted. Door keys constantly not working in the middle
Of the night. Pool room was freezing and pool dirty. The laundry had one working machine for entire hotel day and night. The printer was NEVER able to be used to print anything. The game
Room we were not even told existed until 3 weeks after staying there. Then once we knew about it no one could find where the game controller and supplies were kept. Horrid nightmare experience!

GGrayAgain I always stay here! I visit too much! Now that I have made the decision to move back I probably won’t have to stay with them much anymore unless it’s a weekend getaway! Either way, the room was clean, bed very comfy, staff was as always very friendly, very accommodating not that I ever ask for anything but still! Check in and check out was breeze! The location is perfect, close to shopping and food, easy to access to everything! I honestly don’t stay anywhere else!

This property has started serving breakfast too for those who booked rooms with meals. I was concerned about the bugs like what had happened during my stay before; however, the only time I saw a bug crawling on the wall was on my last night here. All in all, an improved property.
