Great location to view the city from the main viewing point and an easy walk into the town. Good easy parking and rooms did exactly what we expected. On site cafe snack bar was very good and great helpful service. Local restaurants near by. Very nice helpful reception staff. Great value for money.

This is very comfortable and convenient hotel right within the city walls of beautiful Avila, within easy walking distance of all the attractions. Access to the hotel by car is not very easy, but manageable, and there is some on site parking, although it’s a bit tight. Once parked and checked in you can relax in the pretty garden next to the bar. We were on a half board package and therefore had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food and service were excellent. I had an enormous salad for my starter and my husband chose the charcuterie plate, which was also very generous. There is no pool at the hotel, but Avila has so much to see that this did not matter. The hotel is set in ancient mansion and the decor, including a full suit of armour in the lobby, reflects this.

We stayed in this hotel for one night when traveling through Spain. We were a family of 8 and rented several rooms. All rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The only complaint was that the beds were really hard. I know many beds in Europe are harder than what we have in the US but it was very difficult to sleep. However area is great and the town itself was magical! We really enjoyed our time there and wished we had more time to explore!

This is a beautiful hotel with very well appointed bedrooms and large bathrooms. One of its star features is the covered courtyard restaurant which serves a variety of interesting and well presented meals served by a friendly and helpful staff. This space doubles as a bar and snack area and whilst the taverna was closed during our visit light refreshments could still be obtained in the courtyard area. La Lola restaurant was a disappointment and seemed to be soulless and very un - interesting.... It is unclear what market they're actually aiming for with this cafe. Overall however the hotel is charming and represented excellent value for money in an elegant setting.

GGuest UserI had a great one night stay at Hostal Dona Juana which is located in the centre of Avila by the Plaza de Santa Teresa and the Puerta del Alcazar. The staff in the Hostal were very friendly and helpful and also looked after my bag on the last day as I walked around the town. The room was comfortable and clean and included a bottle of water and a few sweets too. The room was of a high, clean standard, there was a new, modern bathroom and the Hostal made for a very pleasant stay. The room was also at an extremely reasonable price. I had the breakfast option too and although breakfast is not served in the Hostal itself you take a ticket to the café just a few doors down and order one of the selections available. A very nice stay and I would definitely stay there again if travelling in the area.

GGuest UserOur room on the top floor was quiet and had a terrace. The room was great with a shower/bath which was great to relax in after a long walk. Comfortable bed. The decor of the hotel is really nice, the private parking underground is nice when you want to not unload everything from the car. Staff exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
