Hotel Landmar Costa Los Gigantes

We returned two days ago after 7 days here with our two boys, aged almost 4 and 9. The cleanliness of the place is what first struck me, the reception smelled amazing - So fresh and clean! Check in was relatively hassle free, although we arrived at about 1pm and check in wasn't until 3pm. Nevertheless we were given our wristbands and left our luggage in the luggage room and went off to find some lunch and have a cocktail at the bar. When we did get our room it was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We were given a room in O block, which was close to the splash park, restaurants and main pool. We couldn't have asked to be in a better spot! Food - I do not understand the people who have said the food is repetitive! I literally had something different for lunch AND dinner every day. Breakfast I'm a bit of a creature of habit even on holiday, but there was plenty to choose from. The Landi buffet was great for the kids, too. The Ola snack bar was super handy for us as the children wanted to swim most of the day so we'd grab a burger for lunch. They also did crisps, biscuits, fruit and pasta/rice bowls which were great in the heat! I did go for a bit of a wander on our second to last day and had a gorgeous chicken kebab/wrap at the Nautilus snack bar which was located at the quiet pool. I definitely recommend 👌🏻 Pool - Was kept super clean and my kids went swimming every day. We used the main pool as our little one needs a 'floaty' and inflatables aren't allowed at the other pool. This was fine for us though as we were close to the bar. Sunbeds - We're not early risers so a couple of days we did struggle for beds. This wasn't too much of an issue as I was the only one who was interested in sunbathing. When I did go to the quiet pool however, there were loads down there. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel for families and we really enjoyed our stay. This was the first time we've taken our boys abroad and we couldn't have asked for a better place. We didn't see much of the evening entertainment as our boys were worn out from the heat and daytime but we did enjoy the funfair on the Saturday evening. We would definitely love to visit here again, thank you to everyone for a memorable stay!

PROs - First impressions of hotel - foyer, stairwell, views etc - lovely - Mostly mature / career staff, rather than young/summer staff, which was great. - Food - was mostly very good. Previous experience of all inclusive buffets has been very disappointing, so I didn’t have high hopes to be honest, however the Landmar well surpassed my expectations. There were sometimes long queue for certain things, eg pancakes (breakfast) or ice cream (dinner), but with so many guests I suppose that’s to be expected. - The pools - the pools were great. The main pool could have done with being a little bigger, given the number of guests, but later in the day when lots of people had left the pool for the day, it was perfect. The flume was very much enjoyed by the kids - it looked a bit small/young to me, but I was very much proved wrong and all the kids absolutely loved it. - Bars were good in terms of options. Beer was great! Main pool bar sometimes didn’t have someone serving, so if you didn’t want one of the self-serve options you had to wait/find a staff member occasionally. - Entertainment team seemed good. We didn’t do much with them, as mainly kept ourselves to ourselves and just enjoyed the pools, but they seemed to be very enthusiastic and really good with the kids. They did do activities in the pool for anyone to join in, in the afternoons, such as inflatable courses and "gladiator" style course where the children had to run along a big long float thing and the staff were to try and knock them off into the water - obviously they just made it look like they were trying and all the kids made it to the end without falling in. - Seating/tables etc - there was A LOT of seating/tables available. Far more than I’ve seen at a hotel like this before. So you generally always managed to get a seat/table, in the day or evening. It really was a lovely terrace area. - Broadway Hall - fantastic hall for evening entertainment. Built for purpose. Fantastic space. Best I’ve experienced on a holiday like this. - Arcade - expensive, but kids loved it! - Rooms - nice and big. Clean. - Day of departure - unlikely you’ll be able to get a late checkout, but you are able to book into the spa to use the showers and changing room there. Showers are small, and changing room was very hot, but it is better than not being able to shower and freshen up before a long journey home. CONs - The first 5 nights were met with insanely loud music coming from a festival in the town. It would start at about midnight and carried on until 5am!! It was so loud, it felt like there was a concert on our own balcony. All through the night for 5 nights in a row. It was unbelievable. It definitely affected our enjoyment of the first few days of the holiday because we were getting nosleep each night! Although this is outwith the hotel’s control, I feel like the holiday provider shoudl have warned us about this and the hotel could have made the rooms more sound proof as these loud festivals

We’ve just come back from a fantastic 2 week stay at the landmar. Last year we were due to stay at this hotel but because of a flight cancellation, we were unable to fly to Tenerife and had to holiday elsewhere. However based on the reviews, we rebooked for this year and I’m so glad we did. The hotel is fantastic, and it’s hard to fault it. Pros; Firstly this hotel is amazing for children / families. There is so much going on for the children, from checkin receiving their own Landi wrist band and passport, to breakfast and dinner having their own Landi buffet stand where they can help themselves, through to the non-stop entertainment for them from 10am until late at night - this includes, kids club, activities around the pool, mini disco and great entertainment in the evenings for all the family to enjoy. What was great about the entertainment at the hotel was that it was mostly different every night during our 2 week stay which I’ve not had before at a hotel, usually the entertainment is repeating on the 2nd week. Secondly, the variety of food on offer. You had cold breakfast from 6:30am, normal breakfast e.g fry up, cereal, pancakes etc from 7:30 until 10:30am, the snack bar at the quieter pool from 10:30am, the snack bar at the main pool from 12pm, the main restaurant for lunch at 12:30pm and then dinner was open until 9:30pm - lots of different food on offer. Dinner and lunch in the main restaurant could be a bit hit and miss but snack bars were always offering, pizza, chips, burgers, hot dogs, pasta, chicken, paella etc so was great for the kids! We had a suite with sea view which was amazing, so clean, spacious and a lovely view. What this also meant is we had access to the a la carte restaurants which was a grill and an Italian. The food was amazing, grill you could have burgers, a grill for 2 which including chicken, wedges, sausage, steak and a few other bits and lots more to choose from including some great starters too. Italian they had amazing pizzas, lasagne, pasta etc. the kids menu is the same in the grill and Italian, and we did them one night after each other but we asked if our daughter could have the pizza off the adults menu and they was more than happy to do that for us. I’ve briefly mentioned the evening entertainment but there is honestly something for everyone, family shows, but also if you are in a couple and would just rather sit outside with a drink, watching the sunset and listening to music there is exactly that every evening outside which was so lovely and they sometimes had different themes on like the white party or gin and jazz for example. All the staff are very lovely and helpful and will help you as much as they possibly can. They also have a company inside the hotel you can book excursions through, we booked Siam park and Loro Parque through them and both experiences were great! If you want to get out of the hotel in the evening, you can easily get a taxi outside the hotel and for about 4/5

I needed a short break to relax with my daughter so decided to check Landmar as seen a lot of positive reviews. 2 of spend 4 nights here during Easter school holidays and can say it was an amazing time. Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Hotel has everything you need on site so if you don’t want to you don’t even have to leave the complex. Heated pools, excellent food ( restaurants and bars) variety of on site activities - everything is of a top standard. I already booked 10 nights for 2025 -l for the whole family.

Our third time in 3 years can’t fault this hotel or the staff. From the animation team to reception staff, shout out to Alejandro and Anna! Very clean hotel staff always cleaning, great for families with kids of all ages. Lovely nice clean spa, had a lovely relaxing massage from carolina! Would 100% recommend this hotel, we’ll be back again next year!
