Stayed in the hotel only for one night on the way from Santiago de Compostela to Porto. The room was clean and spacious. The service good. The location was convenient - close to the port area as well as the old part of Vigo and walking distance to both railway stations.

Very good location in the centre of the city, close to the port, commercial area and old town. Gardens and picturesque surroundings. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quite small but always clean. The bed was very comfortable.

We were really excited to visit Vigo & this hotel has a great location and looked beautiful and as we were meeting our son there , we looked forward to using the rooftop pool as advertised. I was so disappointed my son was in a camper bed , the shutters came up automatically at 8am making the room really bright & noisy. But the most disappointing was told to book the pool for on 1 hour was €25 per day per person. I was so upset and for 4 star hotel and cost was misleading. The assistant manager on reception that day when I complained was abrupt and when I said , if a pool is advertised they need to say its additional 225 for use of stay . She said it was not Ireland I was in , it was Vigo . I regret booking this hotel.

Sound proofing not great as the wooden floors get creaky. But noise beats quiet eerieness. Good place to start for the last 100km of camino. Walkable to church and the pier area. Only 1 small convenience store nearby, so difficult to find supermarkets in Portugal.

We started our summer holiday in Vigo and had 4 nights in Maroa hotel. We booked a room with balcony, even though we could see it was a quite small one. Check in was smooth and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed help to find a place to buy water for my contact lenses, and they showed me a few places where I might be able to find it, and they were right. The room itself was huge and so was the bathroom. The tv was a bit old and small, and the amount of programmes was very limited, so don't expect to spend time watching TV at night. The balcony was rather small as expected, but could fit a chair out there, where I could sit and read a book. Could have used another chair and maybe a little table, so both of us could have sat outside. Breakfast was good although not the same variety as in a large hotel. However, we got a brilliant service and eggs the way we wanted them each morning. Also the view from the rooftop is amazing at all hours of the day. A strange thing that I've never experienced before, was that the cleaning lady didn't take the tip I had laid on the bed. That was just put on my desk when she cleaned the room. Can recommend this for location, staff, views and breakfast.

This was a very clean and comfortable hotel. I had an interior room and the window was very small. Especially if you anticipate jetlag and find light helpful to adjust, this room type may not be for you. In the room there was a refrigerator with minibar items. And an espresso machine. Also a tea kettle. The English of the people at the front desk was good. And I was able to check in early, which was much appreciated after travel.

The AC Hotel Palacio Universal, built in the latter part of the nineteenth century and located in the heart of the city, was the meeting point of the bourgeois and intellectual and political elite at the time. It is located in the best area of Vigo, in front of the Marina, near the historical town and not far from the beach and exhibition center. This waterfront hotel is in an interesting old building, with view rooms looking out to the Bay and surroundings, nice lobby for a relaxed breakfast. My room had the great view, and the finishings are nice, but the flooring seemed to be of a cheap material that had bubbled/warped already and I notice it hadn't even been cut and laid properly along the wall (a gap) when installed. My friend didn't enjoy the enclosed feeling of the interior room she booked. We were sent to a really bad nearby restaurant by the staff but not their fault as the choices were limited with a late arrival, in fact the staff here are the best aspect. The parking situation needs to be explained more clearly. There are ”limited discounts” available for a certain number of guest to park elsewhere, and if you arrive later, left to your own devices, the parking garage directly across the street is a steep 30 Euros for overnight. The entrance driveway is nicely blended into the front parklet for esthetics, but this means it's not clear it can be driven on or marked at all, you will likely miss it and need to circle another four blocks to approach again, and then discover locals feel free to block it when you might want to drive up and unload. Still enjoyed the visit despite the minor irritants.

In desperate need of some TLC. Studio apartment,no kettle asked and got one straight away. No toaster but not a problem as we decided to take breakfast in the hotel. Bathroom vent full of thick dust and fluff and had to insist that they clean it. Scandinavia type furniture which didn't really work with the pink marble floors. Bed was comfy. Reception helpful and pleasant. Would have had the New year gala dinner in the associated restaurant but at the asking price of 250 euros per person no way. Tremendous promotion of Vigo for Christmas and the illuminations from the Mayor of Vigo but absolutely not geared for tourism. 1st of January and everything closed. Definitely not recommend in winter.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, and it is very good to stay in the hotel. Thank you to the reception staff, always friendly and smiles and looking for excellent information 🙂. And we don't want to forget the great camers that were waiting for us to not miss anything 😍 in these wonderful breakfasts of the Entreplanta, helping us in everything that was to manage. By the way, the best breakfast we've ever tried, orange juice and natural fruit, all kinds of pans and toasts, coffee, various incl., varied quality retail, giving the option to do what we want to warm at the moment (Thanks to the cook/a whom my children gave more work than usual by asking eggs with bacon every morning 😅) Spacious and quiet rooms, comfortable bed and great details of the capsule cafe. The area where the hotel is wonderful, near multiple restaurants, shops, theatre and museums and the port. Train and bus in a walk. Finally, all the pleasure we wish we could repeat. Thank you all again. (I had a long time not to write on TripAdvisor but this time I deserved it).

GGuest UserIt is a step away from the seaside. Basically every room has a sea view, with complete facilities and is very new. The breakfast is rich and has obvious Spanish characteristics. The beer at the bar is also delicious and very cheap. The restaurant on the second floor has the highest rating around, which I didn't expect. The front desk clerk is very enthusiastic and has no problem communicating in English. The guy at the bar was equally enthusiastic. We bought our own red wine and enthusiastically helped open the bottle. Very cost-effective, will come again in the future!

The location is great, just 10 minutes walk from the centre, and just next to the Urzaiz station and a shopping centre.
The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable.
The reception girls are super friendly and attentive.
There are free coffee and 24h infusions in the cafeteria, something that I thought was a detail.
The only thing I missed is the restaurant itself, to have dinner at the hotel some day, but in a B&B is what is expected, just accommodation and breakfast :P
I recommend it very much.

I enjoyed the balcony over one of the main streets of Vigo, the proximity to the old town and many more things. All the staff were very friendly, approachable and polite at all time.

El hotel es bastante bueno, instalaciones muy limpias y profundo muy amable. Cuando viajo suelo mirar las valoraciones y me gustaría haber leído la realidad del hotel. Una cama de matrimonio muy grande pero una habitación muy pequeña sin apenas ventilación. Baño también interior y vistas a un patio que tocaba casi la ventana de al lado . Habitación muy oscura . Muy claustrofóbica, Nos comentaron de cambiarnos pero nunca se produjo el cambio porque no habia más que 4 habitaciones exteriores por planta. Garaje precio de 16€ diario, muy estrecho en cuesta y con curva imparable casi entrar y salir teniente que meter los retrovisores para poder entrar .A los alrededores solo hay zona azul. Ubicación buena, restaurante con personal muy agradable y comida de diseño muy bueno también. El único problema el desayuno, si bajas un poco tarde no hay muchas cosas y la leche sin lactosa fría, no hay microondas.

The room is quite spacious and well decorated. Clean and clean every day. Good silent. Wi-Fi or air conditioning worked without problems. Maybe a few handle gowns I would find (e.g. very small refrigerator), but all compensate for the view of the port and the Vigo estuarium. Fairy. The bathroom is pleasant and functional. For the service of no comments.

GGuest UserThis holiday my couple and I have been sleeping in several pensions, hostels, hostels and unfortunately this has been the most expensive and the least good. 90 euros per night for a small room, in a hotel located far from the center (7 km), with parking but for 9 cars and a large but very little washing machine, we got 2 champagne and 2 gel overlooking to be even not yet available for soap *** * a The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and comfortable, but we found it a little expensive for what the hotel offered.

GGuest UserIt was located perfectly in the city center. 15 minutes of walking and you are in the city centre, historical and marítima. Staff is amazing friendly and cozy. Room Was clean and big. Bathroom was good and big. Wife is excellent. The only problem can be parking if you are coming by car since there is limited space.
