We went to the Sun for a Friday night meal. Nicely decorated for Halloween - good lights, bubbly atmosphere, nice open fire. Food was really tasty. Steak Pie and burger was exceptional. The belted Galloway beef was extremely tasty and from a local farm too. Rest of our party said their fish dish was lovely too. Generous portions and tasty. Would recommend.

4th year in a row and the Sun never fails to deliver. Lovely staff, charming rooms (different room each visit), fine ales and good banter, the food keeps getting better and better. Breakfasts are lush. Will be returning for a 5th year without a doubt.

What a wonderful charming hotel, It was like stepping back in time. but beautiful, and no air and Graceses. wonderful happy helpful staff, my room was a small double which was not a problem as being a single occupant. and not sharing it was ideal for me. Also it was comfortable beautiful bed and very clean with beautiful views form the two windows in the room. When booking place to stay the photo's in the Adds some time are not what you get when you get to the accommodation. Please believe me in this case the Photo are as true a days long every photo i looked was a true memory for me we myself and friend didn't need to take all the photo's we could have just cut and past as they are exactly what you will see and get.
