Desert Cave Hotel

Just entered the town of Cooberpety, wow, was shocked! So beautiful, the hotel is the most exclusive of the town, with bars, restaurants, and museums. Our room is underground and very characteristic, it is worth a try.

I have said that the comment is ”basic accommodation”. I don't have any concept. Now I understand that the situation of the room and facilities is probably the standard of the domestic farmhouse. There are a lot of indigenous people around the hotel. I need to take care of the property. I heard the sound at the door at three o'clock in the evening. I quietly opened the curtains and looked at the old lady who turned the trash. The Indians at the front desk were very polite. The hotel has a The restaurant does not have to run outside. If you don't want to live underground, there are very few choices. This is cheap and health will be justified. If you want to be better, you still have to live big4.
Venus Hill B & B

Yeah it was niceish but average, didn’t come close to expectations.. $250 per night you would expect somewhat high standard. We enjoyed the experience of an underground apartment but majority of accommodation in Coober pedy gives you that experience. Have to admit, the caretaker while the owner was away - not his fault but didn’t know what he was doing. No greeting, no knowledge of tourist stuff in town, was put in different room than expected, breakfast included was 2 apples, 2 bananas, half a loaf of rock hard out of date bread, 2 mini cereal packets (1 out of date) and a million traveller jams delivered on arrival. Aircon was a pedestal fan, had to ask about wifi which was under the verandah at main house up the hill. Our room was next to messy construction site and gear for another room, had to ask for more fruit at least considering we’re there for 2 nights and stuff was expired. He delivered promptly and apologised though. Bathroom had no sanitary bin and half a roll of toilet paper, and roof not fully closed off to the rest of the unit with no ventilation. Beds in second room were covered in rock falling away from roof and through vent so had to move the bed on second night to stop getting woken up by it. No cooking utensils so had to use all our own kitchen camp stuff. Didn’t even want to ask about laundry service at this point. Note behind the door told guests not to “whinge”.. if we asked for things every time they came up we would be walking up and down the hill all day plus the caretaker was hard to locate when needed.
Underground Bed & Breakfast

Edward is a fantastic host, very courteous and knowledgeable about the town. The accommodation is away from the Main Street, but we preferred this. We popped out for dinner and was only a 2 min drive to the eating places. Being underground was lovely and cool, refreshing after a long drive. Laundry facilities and cold drinks to purchase within the room are very convenient. The inside lounge area is communal but no one else was in room 5 (we had room 4) so we had it to ourselves. There is an assortment of beverages stocked in the lounge room, available for guests to purchase. There is an outdoor eating area, attached to a full kitchen, with a clothes washer and dryer. A full size fridge is allocated for each room, so easy to self-cater if you want to. There is an IGA supermarket in town. The bedrooms are nice, tidy and spacious. Bathroom is fresh, clean and lovely hot water. Room 4 has a QB and 2 singles. Our dog was happy with the yard space in the front, and lots of inside room for relaxing. Highly recommend for anyone with or without a pet, and will 100% be back when next passing through.
Desert View Apartments

I have been to Coober Pedy many times, and I am most satisfied with this miner ⚒️ apartment. Underground miner ⚒️ apartment, light luxury underground accommodation. The room is oversized and goes out 50 meters to watch the sunrise from the observation deck. Too good value accommodation, you can see the sunrise of the desert view of Coober Pedy.
Comfort Inn Coober Pedy Experience

It was very hot outside, but the room was comfortable without air conditioning. I am very grateful to the staff for being so kind to me. There don't seem to be many restaurants in town, but the rooms are stocked with plates and cutlery, and you can eat food you buy at the supermarket or take out. It was also a great experience to try Australian Vegemite for breakfast. Perhaps because it wasn't the peak season, there were often no people at the front desk, but I don't think there will be any problems if you communicate well in advance.
