4 of us stayed recently for 1 night Positives Very comfortable beds Lovely views Car park across the road Easy access to pubs etc Nice food and good dinner service Negatives On check in we were told we only had 2 rooms booked, I waited calmly for 5 minutes until the receptionist figured out that we had 3 rooms booked, No rails in the shower so not very safe Seemed to be short staffed at breakfast

Stayed for one night in a twin room with a sea view. Room was spotless and the view was spectacular. Loads of parking and only a very short stroll to the Main Street of Schull. Breakfast was included and staff were very helpful and attentive. Posting this review as the hotel is a little gem in west Cork.

The experience was disappointing. We began with the vegetable soup, which was quite oily, and we weren't given all the necessary cutlery for our meal. Next, I ordered the pizza. It was undercooked and very doughy, with a grainy texture on the base that felt like sand. I couldn’t finish it. My partner had the toasted sandwich with chips. The sandwich was bland. The chips seemed reheated or refried; they were very dark brown and tough. The service was okay; the staff were friendly and we did not wait long for our food. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a view of the bay. However, nothing stood out about the presentation of the food. There was a good variety on the menu, but the overall experience did not meet my expectations. The only thing I’d recommend is the coffee. Overall, it was not worth the price.

We had a most enjoyable stay in the Schull Harbour Hotel. Our room was beautiful and had a wonderful view of the harbour. The General Manager Eugene recommended that we visit the Sunday market and it was most enjoyable, lots of local producers offering local artisan goods, it’s great to support these local producers. Breakfast in the hotel every morning was superb and set us up for the day whilst exploring the incredible scenery that West Cork is famed for. We had dinner twice in the hotel and both times it was exceptionally good. The staff are all so warm and friendly, we will definitely be back.

One of only two options on this road trip (the rest were B&Bs). Reasonable sized hotel overlooking the harbour, although our room faced backwards to a car park. Room was a good size, comfortable beds and shower was warm and powerful. Breakfast was reasonably priced (€8 continental, €15 cooked). Ate in the restaurant on the first of a two night stay, Indian pop up. Entertainment was put on on the Saturday night but we didn’t go to it as there was an admission fee, would suggest that this is reconsidered for guests staying at the hotel.

The hotel has a very pleasant outside eating area, the food was dire! The seafood pizza was very liberally scattered with chilli flakes, it was mouth numbing. The chips were dried out, I suspect from reheating. They were not freshly cooked. A full ashtray sat on the table.

Hotel is in a lovely location. Room is relatively clean apart from a dead spider not hoovered up.
I do like the cookies you receive and coffee machine is very good.
What I didn't like was that the iron didn't work and it's the second time I have stayed that I had this problem. I asked reception for a new iron but this was never delivered to the room. Not a major issue but for business customers a decent iron is needed.

On a sunny Tuesday evening today, we decided as a family of 6 to take a spin to schull harbour hotel to eat out. We did ring prior to arriving to check that they were serving food in Gracie Blues. We drove 20minutes over and arrived about 5.30 We sat at the only table that was not marked reserved and we ordered our drinks at the bar. We started looking at the menu only to be told by a rude unhelpful waitress that all her tables were reserved inside . We explained we did ring prior but she was not interested one bit no apologies nothing. There was only 4 people eating at one table when we arrived . While we drank our drinks outside we rang the west cork hotel and drive over there . Where we were greeted in a friendly warm and welcoming manner. The food was excellent there too.

The staff was extremely accommodating for my 5 year old son. I accidentally booked the wrong size room and they took care of it. We ate breakfast and dinner there and it was excellent. Beautiful view of the water as well!
