Remarkably located at the bottom of a bay, the hotel offers beautiful views towards the sea. It is set back from the road, in the middle of a superb flower garden. At the beginning of May, it’s the time of rhodos and azaleas, a marvel. Large old white house flanked by two more recent wings, the facade has a lot of appeal. Inside, everything is “so Irish”, some will find it a bit kitsch, but there is a real cozy atmosphere. The rooms in the old part are a little outdated, ask for a room in the new wing. Ours - 209 - was on the second floor - with a superb view of the garden and the bottom of the bay. The carpets are thick, the bathrooms are small but new, the bedding is a little dampened and could do with an investment. Pretty dining room recently redone, we dine on pretty old wooden tables by candlelight. Short but excellent menu with quality products and good value for money. The breakfast is also perfect with homemade products. The boss is very welcoming and his staff attentive and smiling. In short, we really liked this Seaview Hotel. Two nights, 4 dinners, 4 breakfasts for less than 700 euros, it’s very good value for money. If we can offer some advice, the landlady should take a complete tour of the house and remove some old items which add nothing and whose disappearance would not detract from the charm of the hotel.
