The hotel was absolutely beautiful, lots of different areas and took us about a day to get out bearings and figure out where the lifts came out etc. We had a junior suite with a side sea view and were a bit worried to begin with when we got to our room as it was looking right out onto the main promenade and we thought it would be noisey at night but it really wasn't. Don't get me wrong, you could hear the bustle but it wasn't loud and certainly didn't disturb our sleep and the view was lovely. With the room, we had the Platinum service which gave you a few entitlements over the standard but to be honest, we didn't make enough use of them and if we'd paid for that as an upgrade I don't think it would have been worth it. There are exclusive areas for platinum club and you can have breakfast a la carte and evening meals a la carte everyday but the food market was just as good, that was our opinion anyway. There are also exclusive areas for sunbathing with an infinity pool and ball beds but the main area for sun lounging was good and if you really wanted a ball bed, you could also get one at an additional cost. Everything was booked, cancelled or done through the hotel app and you are given a bracelet when you check in that you use for access to areas and rooms and to charge to your room. It's a small oval shaped plate that must have a chip in it and it's synced to your room. It was a great idea, you didn't have to take it off and search for your room key everytime and so easy to charge to room with it (too easy, lol), the staff scanned it each time. It would have been good if you could keep a track on the app on what you were spending but reception staff were more than happy to help with printing out bills etc if needed. The sunbed booking was a great idea, no rushing to put towels down and if you didn't put towels out by 12 on your booked bed then anyone can have it which made lots of sense. There are plenty but you have to figure out when they open the booking if you have your eye on a particular bed so you can get it booked. Most of them are 24 hours in advance so at 6pm say on a Monday, you can book for the Wednesday, it doesn't take long to get into a routine with it. The hotel also had a photoshoot stall next to reception, the shoot was "free" but the photos are expensive so be careful if you do decide, I spent more than I had planned. The photos were lovely, and it was only about 20 minutes but wouldn't have spent that at home on photos. Overall it was a great hotel with lots of amenities and the fact that you are literally on the doorstep to loads of pubs and food places, I'd even suggest B&B might be enough depending on your preferences, we definitely would go that way if we stay there again (which we probably will sometime in the future).
