A nightly price of 40 to 50 dollars is enough.
When I complained that check-in took almost an hour, they did not say sorry but instead responded with an annoyed look on their faces.
The bedding was old-fashioned, like something from the 80s, and the bed was in bad condition, causing back pain.
There are only two elevators, which are old-fashioned, and the gym looks like a small corner store in a small neighborhood with a few pieces of equipment crammed together. The person who looks like the gym manager is sitting barefoot, scratching his toes without paying any attention to guests.
Other amenities such as restaurants, bars, etc. are all old, cramped, and crappy.
The swimming pool was the best, but even though it was a hotel, the water was muddy so I didn't go swimming because I thought the water quality would be bad.
conclusion. Strong recommendation

The service and environment are very good. The hygiene of the room needs to be improved. There is too much dirt between the floor tiles.

Staff was very friendly and professional, airport pickup and drop off were on time & only a short 15 min drive to/from the hotel. Hotel was clean, restaurant buffet was limited but tasty. Pool is nice. Conference room was simple but fully adequate. Halls to the guest room were drab. Guest room and bathroom were nice. Only serious problem is the air conditioner. The AC capacity for the guest rooms is far too small for the number of rooms in the hotel. I never had more than the slightest bit of air flow and the temperature never dropped below upper 70s F. I requested a fan but the hotel has none. The housekeeper also turns off the AC during the day so when I arrived my room temperature was well over 80 degrees and took quite a while to cool just a bit. Then during the day, he turned it off and when I returned late afternoon the room was hot again.

The hotel was a complete disappointment. The Air conditioning does not work. I stayed there for 4 days and I was sweating the whole time. Benin is a very hot country but the hotel room is even hotter. I complained so many times but no solution was done. I will never come here again.

Azalai hotel is conveniently located just 15 minutes to the airport. Basic rooms. Power supply failure happened almost daily. Basic breakfast. Nice pool. Basic gym. Air con was noisy in my room. Nice view of the sea. Not allowed to walk on the beach. Hotel needs a complete renovation

The hotel is wonderful. Great location by the sea. Quick access to the airport and Harbor. Internet in my room was very poor. I had to always get out of my room to the lobby if I wanted to get any work done. Right in front of my door in the corridor, the internet worked but the moment I stepped in the room it got messy.

This is a good hotel. I think for convention events it's one option in the Cotonou city. Next to the Port Autonomous of Cotonou, easy to see ships movement all the day. Guest room it's fine, but no hot water shower. Restaurant for breakfast and other meals is international standard.

The hotel is under construction so no swimming pool. No outdoor bar. We still pay the price! I had to change rooms because the 1st there was work outside on the terrace... No water pressure in the rooms. Spacious room Remote control that works every other time Don't go to the hairdresser. Sad and messy living room. Haircut to see again... Breakfast. We'll bring you the bill as quickly as possible. We can't take our time. Classic buffet. No information on breakfast or lunch prices. Buffet included or not etc... even the staff is not sure of the price and how it works. For a hotel of this standard I expected better.

Our stay at the AZALAÏ COTONOU hotel was very pleasant; the swimming pool area is friendly and the immediate proximity to the beach and its easy access is very appreciable, which is extremely rare in Cotonou. The staff is professional, especially the FIDELE reception agent who is welcoming, smiling and efficient. A big thank you to Fabrice, assistant reception manager. He showed great professionalism: he listened and found adequate solutions during a situation that I experienced. The breakfast buffet is varied and invites a moment of pleasure for our taste buds. All the catering staff were also very professional. Congratulations and thank you!

Hello, I find the framework correct. But I did not understand that I was required to pay in full for my stay as soon as I picked up the keys at the entrance on the grounds that this is a requirement from Management. I find it inelegantly inappropriate and borderline disrespectful to customers. Although this requirement does not appear anywhere in booking. It's really a shame this habit of distrust of Management towards customers. Other customers like me have already experienced this disturbing situation. Customers choose your hotel and you trust them. This does not honor your establishment. I ask you to stop this. I strongly denounce it and give a red card to management

We only stayed one night and our experience was horrible! We changed rooms 3 times! In the first room the water was leaking from the ceiling, we had to wait 30 minutes before being relocated to the second room. When we got there, the bathroom floor flooded when we tried to take a shower. Another 30 minutes of waiting before being relocated to the third room which smelled very strongly of mold! The entire floor had a musty smell and clearly the hygiene of the rooms was not respected! We had a very bad night at this hotel and finally when we left we were accused of having eaten chocolate and peanuts even though there was no food in the room! I would like to point out that following ALL these events no refund or compensation was offered to us for the inconvenience, on the contrary they tried to extract another amount of money from us before our departure following false accusations! Honestly, we have never had such terrible service! I recommend everyone to AVOID this hotel! Your stay will be much more pleasant in another place!
