Enjoyed the welcome cookie and found the receptionist to be very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is good overall but specifically from my perspective: 1. Breakfast doesn’t have enough options for vegetarians 2. The rooms are air ventilated, not air conditioned which makes it slightly suffocating on a hot day. Otherwise, the room size is great, and the hotel is comfortable

was extremely disappointed with our stay. The room description stated that we would have a king bed, however the bed provided was clearly not a king-sized bed. I raised this with reception and was told it had been independently measured, but it was nowhere near the size of a king bed. The room itself was very old and dated, and the bathroom was grubby. Having to climb into the bath to use the shower was inconvenient, and the shower itself was faulty with very poor water pressure. The hotel did not feel like a relaxing holiday experience. It felt more like a conference venue, with large numbers of conference attendees occupying the lounge and seating areas with laptops, making it difficult to find somewhere to sit and relax. We were also unable to use the pool when we wished because it had been booked out for children's swimming lessons. This was not disclosed at the time of booking. Parking was another major issue. There were no spaces reserved for hotel guests, and the car park was constantly full, apparently due to conference attendees and other visitors. As a result, we frequently had to park on the road. Our booking also stated that complimentary bottled water would be provided daily. When we queried this at reception, we were simply told to purchase water ourselves. Despite showing our booking confirmation, we did not receive any bottled water during our entire stay. Overall, the hotel is very dated and did not provide the quality or experience we expected. We feel that the facilities and services advertised did not match what was actually provided, and our stay fell well below expectations.

I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the rooms were comfortable with good facilities. The staff were professional and helpful throughout the stay, making check in and general requests smooth and efficient. Overall, a reliable and comfortable option for a short stay.

Nice clean place. Gym, leisure area is good - £10 charge for car parking !
