Found at the end of a narrow country lane, but not too far from civilization. Presented as a bit of luxury, and succeeds, whilst giving value for money on the room which was comfortable and well-equipped. Food good although a little pricey and I always resent having to pay extra for a portion of vegetables and then have a service charge added on top! Scambled eggs and salmon for breakfast was some of the best I have enjoyed away from home.

If you're looking for a stay near Cardiff in a peaceful old world hotel with all modern conviences this has to be the place. Delightful staff and friendly atmosphere like a private club. Dogs are particularly welcome here and there's even a menu for their dinner. Never saw that before.

Everything was excellent, from the staff to the food and the room.
All the staff were really friendly and made our stay perfect. We had the coach house room - it was to a really high quality, comfy bed, great amenities and nice and quiet. Will definitely stay again

We stayed at this hotel when we were getting married, although we did not actually get married at the hotel itself we were still made to feel very welcome by all of the staff who were extremely pleasant & polite throughout our stay which made it even more memorable.

Lovely setting and staff were amazing. Food was ok and ample selection of drinks. Rooms were nice, but once in noticed some damp or an old leak in the corner. Corridor ceiling was also bad with holes from a previous leak. Bed was comfy and pillows. Bathroom shower leaked all over floor and sink a little outdated. Staff made the stay amazing and I would go back again.

My girlfriend & I stayed on a Saturday night at the beginning of June 2024. We attended a Wedding party and were fortunate enough to get a room in the Lodge. We stayed in Room 7 which was an upstairs room and it was superb. Very oldie worldy and very good. Everything about the Coed-Y-Mwstwr is lovely and the staff are great. The one thing that let's it down is the price of drinks at the bar.

Our Son got married at Coed y Mwstwr last Sunday. Beautiful.Hotel. Food was delicious and 5* service from all the Staff. Thoroughly recommend.
