Scottish Inns Cresson

The Hotel is a little overpriced for the condition of the facility. The room was clean and smelled fresh but the carpet and furniture had a lot of stains. The bathroom could use some drywall repair and the tub had unsightly rust stains around the faucet area. The free breakfast was not very appetizing but there is a Sonic within site of the hotel. On a positive note, the desk clerk was very nice and JJ her "assistant" was very pleasant.

one night getaway, room was nice, fairly clean and comfortable. No pool, did not partake of the free breakfast. Back door did not accept key, had to walk around to another door. Shower curtain had mold. Couch was stained. Beds were very comfortable. No sign of bugs.

Very roomy and nice. The staff was nice and very pleasant. Well worth the price paid! The hotel has so much potential! Some new carpet, which was stained in my room, clean the curtains and boom, you have really nice place. Very nice furnishings and very quite, i rested well! Just a little tlc. Breakfast!!!! Uhm ok.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly as always. The room was clean and we always enjoy coming back.

I loved this place it’s perfect

We were not disappointed with our stay at Scottish Inns in Cresson. The staff is very friendly, and you can tell they're trying to maintain an older hotel. Not doing a bad job at it for the most part. The common areas and our room were clean, if not showing some wear. The hotel is very dark, however. A little refresh to lighten everything up would do wonders. The bed was comfortable, but the TV was quite old. Our other single complaint worth mentioning was the breakfast. We love that it starts early, but there were no protein options other than yogurt. Lots of bread, cereal, oatmeal, and we loved the Texas-shaped Belgian waffles, but no protein. It was pretty much an 80's-style "continental breakfast". Also, there is NO pool. (There used to be one in the back, but it's filled with dirt and plants now.) We weren't planning on using it, but if we had kids and were counting on the pool as advertised in the listing, it would have been a problem.

The soap needs to be changed. You use the hand or shower soap and it never seems to wash off. Other than this it is a good place to stay if you are going to the track at MSR Cresson. I would return and stay here again.
