Sehr schönes Hotel mit außergewöhnlichem SPA Bereich mit weitem Blick ins grüne! Auf dem Zimmer keine Wasserkocher, dafür aber alles zum wohlfühlen. Die Bar im Schloss hat wunderschöne Räume. Das Frühstück ist mit 28,- Euro leider übertrieben teuer. Dafür sind Parkplätze kostenlos. Ganz tolles Personal!

Die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit zusammen mit Wellnessangeboten und der ausgezeichneten Küche garantieren einen erholsamen Urlaub. Wir haben diesmal im Schloss gewohnt. Die Zimmer haben natürlich etwas mehr Patina incl. knarrender Betten. Vielleicht nehmen wir nächstes Mal ein Zimmer in der Waldresidenz.

Ein schönes Schloss in traumhaft ruhiger Lage. Etwas abgelegen, aber das ist ein Teil seines Reizes. Zimmer im Schloss ok, aber nicht überwältigend. Sehr atmosphärische Bar mit einen sehr netten jungen Barkeeper, der sich wirklich kümmert. Leider ist das Restaurant eine Enttäuschung. Limitierte Freundlichkeit, bestenfalls mittelmäßige Küche zu (dafür) stolzen Preisen, eine kümmerliche Weinkarte und um 21.00 Uhr wird gnadenlos „aufgestuhlt“ (gefühlt) : man räumt geräuschvoll auf, der Ober fragt nicht mehr, ob man noch Wünsche hat und die Rechnung bekommt man schneller als man danach fragen kann. We verbleven dit keer in een van de vakantiewoningen (Kiefer) van Schloss Basthorst. Mooi, schoon, ruim en fraai ingericht. Dat voor nette prijzen. En het personeel en de service aldaar: bijzonder vriendelijk en goed. We komen graag nog eens terug.

2nd time in this a bit remote hotel. All rooms are really nice, even the standard ones. We stayed in the Wald residenz, the main building. Rooms are spacious, have all amenities, I would only have wished for curtains that keep the light out. Good breakfast buffet, a bit pricey but no alternatives in the neighborhood. For dinner, good number of options, including a 3 course set menu. reasonable winelist too. Large spa area, indoor and outdoor, heated pool indoor. Staff, especially in the restaurant, very nice. Although we really like our stay, a few tips: as the hotel is remote, would be nice to be able to buy some snacks during the day. Only option is really the official menu. Chips, nuts, chocolate, softdrinks, icecream etc. In the spa area also only a small selection of food and drinks. Easy to improve. Anyway, really nice stay, can recommend it.
