Excellent food and friendly staff,the only downsize was they seem to have introduced a service/gratuity charge on the bill which is not published anywhere according to my calcultations?Apologies if my maths were not correct! We will still return however.

We have just spent a wonderful 3 nights staying at the Grove. This family run hotel is truly a great place to stay with all staff very friendly and welcoming. Set just below a coastal wood and very near to the main town of Cromer it has some lovely walks for you to explore with the main town only a 10 minute walk. We stayed in room 6 in the main hotel which is decorated in period furniture and was very relaxing. Full tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a host of different tea's to try. The restaurant is a must experience to try and exceed's expectations with choice-taste and presentation, i had the 3 pork main dish with local fresh vegetables-delicious. The full English breakfast is the best i have tasted with everything all locally sourced-sausages-mushrooms-bacon eggs 1st class, lots of other choices also equally 1st class. For those who like a swim they also have a heated pool which has exclusive use if you book for a 45 minute slot. Fully recommend a stay if you want to try something very special.

Do not book with dogs. Not dog friendly!!
I booked the hotel because it was dog friendly, but when my wife and I arrived with our two small dogs after a 3-hour drive, we were alienated in the middle of a busy hotel because we brought the dogs inside. The restaurant manager, Micheal, said to the receptionist, ‘Get them out’, which is completely unacceptable. We were then ushered outside and pointed in the direction of our room with no introduction to the property, check-out times, etc. We have never felt so unwelcome and did not expect this level of service when paying over £200 a night for a room. We were then told at 10:15 that we had to be out at 10:30 but were given an extra 20 minutes free of charge, which is subpar. They accepted our money but did not want to show any gratitude or service towards us.

We love coming to Cromer and to stay at The Grove. Why? because it offers everything we need and gives exemplary service. We need an accessible room with walk-in shower as my wife is not as mobile as she would like. The bungalow is self-catering but one can chose to dine in the restaurant if one so desires. With a comprehensive menu and a chef that will provide Gluten Free food what more can one wish for. Sadly even King Canute could not hold back the tides [ or the weather I suspect] so one just changes ones itinerary to suite. One should just relax as it is a holiday after all...

Fantastic impromptu night away so friendly and relaxed yet organised. Swimming pool is a lovely extra and having a booked time just for us made it even better. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was best I’ve had for a long time! We will be back.

Great location and setting. Wonderful characterful Georgian building situated in beautiful, peaceful grounds. Lovely lounge area for relaxation. Good sized bedroom with original features. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff - good quality breakfast. What more do you need!

We spent 3 nights at the Grove Hotel. Our room was in the main building and was very comfortable. The large king size bed was excellent. The room was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. However the highlight of our stay was the food. The food was excellent with outstanding presentation. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

What an amazing find, the staff here are the best. Rooms and food absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble - what a gem! One of the highlights is the amazing music you played - lovely vintage music - it made my stay (I’m a 40s re-enactor) Can’t wait to come again
