A surprise two night stay to celebrate my wifes birthday.
Room had lovely views of the Moray Firth and beach.
Likewise the restaurant had fantastic sea views.
Good Breakfast selection and restaurant menu was excellent with good quality locally produced fresh food.
The Cullen Skink to die for!
A nice quiet and picturesque path leads from the hotel to the town of Cullen.

Als wir seinerzeit Tim Mälzer in Kitchen Impossible gesehen haben, wie er sich der Herausforderungen stellte cullen skink zu kochen, haben wir beschlossen in diesem Restaurant diese zu essen. Die Suppe war ein Gedicht, sehr fein abgeschmeckt! Die " Monkfish Scampi" und die "seafood platter" waren ebenfalls ausgezeichnet.

Visited today , first impressions were good. Excellent customer service, staff very attentive and pleasant. Food mediocre and expensive. Burger and smoked haddock were quite dry, however the chips were beautiful! The hotel itself looks nice and well maintained but I don’t think we will be back to the restaurant.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and good restaurant.
The rooms are a little tired, but the bed is comfy and it was a good shower.
Staff were really welcoming.

One of the best hotel stays we have ever had. Simple, clean, super attentive friendly staff. This place should put on clinics for hospitality service. Absolute top notch. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Really nice hotel just outside Cullen but a very easy walk to Cullen. Our room was really clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable and had a good size bathroom with shower over the bath. We planned to eat in the restaurant on the first night and maybe look somewhere else for the second night. However the food was so delicious we decided to eat here the following night too!! Breakfast was also really lovely, all piping hot and obviously cooked to order. All staff were really nice and very attentive. We really enjoyed our two nights away here. Felt like we had a nice break. Only minor down side was that the bar was a bit lacking atmosphere in the evening and maybe would benefit from a wee update. But overall we had a fabulous stay and would definitely return in the future. Keep up the good work !

We went for a meal. Lovely views, warm entrance. The menu looked great. The food was average but in our opinion wildly overpriced. I ordered a sea food platter costing £33. It was basic. Monkfish scampi only gave 4 pieces of scampi. The kids burger was a reheated frozen burger and not terribly nice. The wine we wanted wasn’t available so had to pay £10 more for the only other one we might like that was available. The waitress chewed gum throughout our service. Not a brilliant experience unfortunately.

The hotel is well situated and the staff were very helpful. Our room had a very comfortable bed and seemed to have been recently renovated & decorated. There was a table with two comfy chairs looking out to sea which we enjoyed. However the electrics had not been adapted fully to accommodate the renovations meaning there was only one useable socket. The plumbing in the en-suite had also not been brought up to date meaning the toilet was difficult to flush and took a long time to fill up, The door handle easily jammed too - we did report these things. Updating the ensuite and sorting out electrical sockets would make such a difference. The food was actually very good but would recommend avoiding the expensive 30 day steak, I ordered medium/rare and it came very well done. The hotel needs to tweak a few things to make what is essentially a nice place to stay into what people expect these days.
