Excellent bed and breakfast. We read reviews before booking of this being an excellent place to stay! They just don’t do it justice. Absolutely amazing place! The outdoor areas are just beautiful and serene. The inside is full of history and beauty. They have excellent tailor made breakfasts that are fantastic. If you have any allergies or dislikes they have your back! Excellent chef and service. They go above and beyond. Would stay here again.

Staying at Battlefield Abed & Breakfast truly felt like “being home,” albeit in a different era. The accommodations were excellent; they were spacious, comfortable, scrupulously clean, and genuinely inviting. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and while the location was perfect for our historical adventures, returning “home” at the end of an active day was a special treat. My thanks to the wonderful staff. We look forward to our return.

Simply one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, with peaceful, serene, idyllic grounds; cats galore; wonderful, warm service; fantastic breakfasts; beautiful rooms; and, maybe most special of all, the guest lecture historians. My husband and I were here last year and had to come back, this time with cousins, to share the magical experience.

This was such an amazing Gettysburg experience. . Everything was perfect from the accommodation’s, the friendly kind attentive staff, the scrumptious breakfasts, and the daily history lessons. Every detail was thought of thoroughly. I am on a gluten free low sodium diet and they made food especially for me including the daily cookies that were left for the guests. They went above and beyond with everything. My 2 pups felt like they were on vacation too. We look forward to our next stay.

We just returned home from our stay at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. WOW! What a fantastic experience! Everyone was so welcoming from the moment we arrived. All the staff is so friendly and really go out of their way to make your stay so pleasant. I have to say though that the highlight of our stay was the history lesson from Stephen Gunlock. He was just fascinating!!! I don’t remember much from my history classes in school probably because I didn’t have him as my teacher! Now my husband and I are inspired to learn more and experience more history. And I say experience because Stephen made me realize that history should be an experience. After listening to him it made our tour of Gettysburg that much more enriched. Thank you! And we are going to always treasure our memento from Picketts Charge!

This is the ultimate Bed and Breakfast. First, it is dog-friendly without sacrificing comfort. The staff is extremely accommodating and looks after your every wish and need. The Inn itself is beautiful and so comfortable. The breakfast is always different, delicious, and very well made with details. The Inn has all the information on Gettysburg right at the Inn and has very professional interpreters with a vast amount of Gettysburg history speaking (each morning). The expansive grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The Inn has its very own dog park (1 acre) and a dog station for towels and treats for your fur babies. We cannot wait to return and stay longer.

This was our first time at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast and we will definitely have future bookings! The Tack Room was incredibly beautiful, cozy and inviting and the grounds are abundant with fowers and gardens. My companion has dietary restrictions and host Sally and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating with meeting his needs and the breakfast offerings went above and beyond his expectations. All food was beautifully presented and absolutely creative and scrumptious! One-hour history presentations after breakfast are a wonderful experience for Civil War enthusiasts who are guests. Battlefield Historian and long-time reenactor Steve Gunlock brought the Battle of Gettysburg, and its soldiers to life with his extensive knowledge, enthusiasm and amazing artifacts. We had an INCREDIBLE stay and will return!

The place is very special feeling , very cool indeed, the breakfasts were amazing snd the staff very accommodating . Steve Gunlock the Historian was extremely knowledgeable , his talks were interesting and fun to listen too . His collection of artifacts is unbelievable. I could spend days listening to him , can’t say enough about him or the inn . I highly recommend staying at this inn

We loved our stay at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious. We enjoyed interacting with the cats on the property. JD was a great host. He gave us a tour as well as restaurant recommendations. Afternoon cookies were delicious. Breakfast was amazing both mornings we were there. The historian, Steve Gunlock, was definitely the biggest highlight of our trip. He gave us lots of information. He told stories and became the character whose story he was telling. He had lots of artifacts that we were able to hold and see up close - not behind plastic. He brought civil war guns and taught us how to shoot them and we were actually able to shoot them on the property. I would definitely return here.
