I travelled to Mauritius for business in both Feb and March 2020, staying at Villa Anakao for 5 nights and 3 nights respectively. This is an excellent option if you are looking for a quiet, laid back retreat away from the flashy resorts and built-up areas such as Port Louis. As mentioned in previous reviews, staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one. The food is excellent, home-cooked Mauritian dishes each night served outside in a covered eating area by the pool. Breakfast is also good, with eggs cooked to order and fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. As a business traveller I was away for most of the day but it was great to come back in the evening, sit on the verandah with a couple of beers and enjoy a traditional Mauritian dinner each night. For those on holiday, the pool area is simple but clean and well-maintained, and there is a beach a couple of minutes’ walk away. Just to note, I would highly recommend hiring a car if staying here - there aren’t really any shops or restaurants within walking distance and although public buses are frequent, you will have a lot more freedom with a car. Driving in Mauritius is easy, hiring a car is inexpensive and there is secure parking on the premises.

Jessica and Bravish were EXCELLENT! Friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We visited for lunch and had a delicious spread! We tried several of the home made rums too! Definitely recommend the caramel one (and the plum and the grape!!) 😍 thank you for a lovely afternoon

For the first stop of the honeymoon trip in Mauritius, I chose a relatively quiet and close to the south shore. When choosing a hotel, I always think that the expensive hotel is the best when I choose the hotel. Tamartha's beach is also a private beach, with a wealth of water items, snorkeling, paragliding, glass boat rowing boats, and the housekeeper will inform you in advance which items need an appointment. The beaches on the south shore are much cleaner than the east shores, and the sea surface is much calmer. The scenery is dominated by the setting sun. Lying on the beach in the calm afternoon and watching the evening is really pleasant. The main restaurant is a buffet. The theme is different every day. The Indian theme is my favorite. The local cuisine of wool ball is not delicious. The honeymoon meal was upgraded to an open-air French meal by the sea. This may be the biggest slot in the experience. The dishes did not like it and it caused me a fever. The hairball traffic is really expensive. When you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the driver has a fixed price. It thinks that it feels pitted, an hour's drive, 2200 rupees. If you don't plan to make a hotel, people who go out every day will still rent a car online. It's only 500 yuan a day. If you plan your trip, you must book a day trip from the Internet in advance. There may be no places when you set the ball. In order to save time, live in the south shore of the dolphins seven-colored earthen bird park. For the ball, driving time is the biggest benefit.

Hi Super nice hotel with modern infrastructures and Excellent service by hotel employees, be it front office and f&b staff in general. The reception and restaurant staff were welcoming. Special thanks to hardworking staff. My heart goes to Rosha from pool bar for her dedication and service oriented approach. Overall, fantastic hotel, great service and excellent environment.
