Pura Vida Hotel Cuxhaven

Pura Vida is a very well located hotel right behind the deck. The concept is fresh and young in contrast to the older hotels on the site. The establishment of the rooms and public areas takes the concept and is very modern. The hotel has a large parking space. In view of the orientation of the hotel, a load pillar for electric cars would be desirable for the future. There is a fitness area that is free of charge. Also the sauna and steam sauna area is free and super beautiful. We had the luck to have the SPA almost always all for us alone. Breakfast is rich and healthy. Coffee and tea can be obtained free in the dining room until 18:00. The Wifi is very good throughout the hotel area. The rooms are very large and you have a floor heating in the bathroom. We agree with the previous reviews in that the cleanness of the rooms is likely to be worked a little more intensively. Here is air up. The care products that are available in the room or in the Spa are very high quality. There are very good and many restaurants around.

Reception: friendly and professional, efficient process Room: spacious enough for its category, nicely furnished, comfortable bed Bathroom: functional (little downside: no body lotion) Housekeeping: excellent Breakfast/Restaurant: fantastic view from the 6th floor, food and drinks average quality Pool/Sauna: a bit overrated in the description of the hotel, the pool is really tiny (crowded when 2 people are in it)

Quick check-in. Very friendly and competent service staff. The room and bathroom were clean and maintained. Confortable beds and rich breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere. A small bar service including pizza is offered in the evening.

There are many positive things to say about this hotel. Let's start with the staff, they are extremely friendly and seem to enjoy working there. This naturally rubs off on the whole atmosphere. The breakfast is very plentiful and delicious. There is enough choice for everyone. The evening meal is excellent, in my opinion the chef deserves a star. You should really book the half board. Our suite was big enough and nice, but with one personal drawback - carpet. You should know that the suites are not in the main building, but diagonally opposite. If you value a sauna and swimming pool, you should know this, as there is a sauna and swimming pool in the main building. The house with the suites has a sauna, but no swimming pool. In theory, you have to cross the street. Breakfast is also served separately, which is a positive thing. Regarding the sauna and swimming pool area, however, I must say that the area in the main building quickly reaches its limits in bad weather and then peace and relaxation is over. I can't say anything about the spa treatments, but a repeat visitor said that they were very good. Despite the small drawbacks I have listed, I can recommend the hotel. The beach is about a 5-minute walk away. The beach is large and looks well-kept.
Hôtel Garni Cuxhaven Lerche

Stayed here for an overnight before ferry to Helgoland. Booked two rooms for family of 5. Staff accommodated us well with neighboring rooms. At least three other parties (I think each of two people) were staying there that night. It's an older building, and could certainly hear people through wall. But that's pretty much true anywhere. Price was reasonable, but no bargain. Nothing wrong with that though. Breakfast was good, and plentiful. Rolls, jam, cheese, meat, coffee, juice. Well located between train station and ferry. Not a long walk to either. Quiet street. Bed was comfortable, and bathroom in good shape. One of our rooms had a balcony. No particular view, but it's nice to know you can go outside if you want. Staff was friendly and able to communicate in English.
