During my recent stay here, I encountered a few issues despite an overall positive experience. My initial request for two separate beds was not granted, and although the resort offered an alternative, it was too late to make use of it. The corkage fee for a pack of food was unexpectedly high, which felt excessive. Additionally, there was a busted light in the balcony/dining area that affected the ambiance. However, despite these concerns, the overall stay was enjoyable, and the resort's amenities and services were commendable. I hope they address these areas for improvement to enhance the experience for future guests.

The manager doesn't know how to run the Resort. The only Resort I've stayed in is that when it comes to breakfast you will have food for one hour and a half. The truth is they don't have cooks in the kitchen, and the kitchen operation is run by 2 kitchen staff and most of the Dining staff are apprentices. How terrible experiences. Also, they have a grill station of seafood which is quite surprising, the prices are out of standard and the seafood display is not fresh anymore. Hope you can improve this issue.

Our first time at this resort Golden Sands and the Place Paradise, we had our lunch at the Olas Restaurant and we were disappointed in regards with the delay in food, we waited for more than one hour, and we raised our concerns to the new Manager Ms. Roselle but seem like she doesn't know the process of the operation. Hope you can improve this our first and last to this Resort due to horrible experiences.

Incredible resort located on the tip of northern Cebu island. My husband and found this gem by accident. Unfortunately the reviews and advertising are basically non existent. Honestly its the best philippean owned resort we have ever been to (we live here in dumaguete). The landscaping is incredible, the rooms are modern and exceptionally clean. The restaurant serves mostly Philippine cuisine and it’s exceptional. What makes this resort really stand out is the incredible service from all the staff. Honestly speaking as a Philippina the level of service, maintenance, cleanliness of this resort is far above the standards of the majority of locally run resorts. The only issue was the state of the local beach. There was way to much trash along the entire beach. Unfortunately this is a major problem throughout the Philippines. The beaches are the major draw for foreign tourists. Foreign tourists are the ones who spend the most money. Not only at the resort but also in the local communities. Unfortunately most foreign tourists are not repeat customers. The number one reason why is trash problem on all the beaches. People do not want to spend thousands of dollars traveling 3/4 around the world to sunbathe or swim surrounded by trash. Want to increase foreign tourism? Address the trash problem on the beaches. It actually is that simple.

Very nice place and well maintained. Philippine cuisine mainly was actually really good. What surprised me the most was the level of service. Most resorts and restaurants who mainly cater to the local population totally fail in providing basic service. It’s definitely different here. I would have given this resort five stars. The only reason why I didn’t was because of the beach. The amount of trash, plastic bottles and broken liquor bottles that litter the beach right in front of the resort was totally unexceptionable. Unfortunately it’s endemic here in Philippines. People travel 3/4 around the world to visit here. They mainly come for the beaches. Unfortunately due to the amount of litter on the beaches most never return. The competition for tourist dollars is cut throat in South East Asia. Most countries realize the correlation between capturing market share (tourism dollars) and keeping their beaches clean and inviting. Unfortunately it seems that isn’t the case in the Philippines. They wonder why they are dead last in annual and repeat tourism.

I recently had my 35th work anniversary so I booked here for 3D2N. Us couple + 5 children + son's girlfriend +puppy. I initially booked the Barkada Room but our puppy is not allowed there. My bad. I was just so happy they allow pets..I didnt read the part which rooms. Frontdesk was kind enough to arrange our transfer. As a result, I overpaid even after my kids ordered drinks and rented bikes. No time to claim in kind as we were about to be on our way. It takes 4hrs from our home to get there and vice versa. Location is at the northeastern tip of Cebu. Beachfront is so wide and always cleaned. Beachview has a wee bit of El Nido vibe. We like to swim early morning as its when tide is high and not so hot. With our booking, free breakfast at Fidela's. We enjoyed buffet on our first breakfast. Then ala carte on the second one. Dinner at Boogies. Delious food on both. Reasonable prices considering there's 8 of us. Staff are so polite and good at their roles. I read a review here that says 'its about little things'. This is not to criticize but to suggest improvement. I need to mention our beddings had faded red stains. We didnt notice it when we arrived as we were tired and hot from our trip. We arrived 2:30P. We got inside our final room 3:30P. We waited outside for our room keys under the heat of the sun. It was a huge comfort to finally be in a cool room.I informed housekeeping as some hotels charge for stains. They aplogized and offered to change it but we refused as we knew they were clean. I just hope they won't use it anymore. The elastic glue at the bathtub had black underlines. I know its hard to clean but it wont take long to replace it. The place is so big that you can hardly hear other guests. Silent, peaceful and so beautiful...just the way we like it. My children tried the kayak, rented bikes. My son and girlfriend climbed the trail. They said the view up there was nice. There's billiards too. My husband and me..beach early...breakfast...stay inside rooms when its hot outside...watch Netflix or browse the net..order in ...swimming pool near our rooms..then dinner. Overall, we had a lovely stay at Maya del Sol..far end of the resort. Thank you Golden Sands!

Beautiful place. The sand and water are perfect. There are beach chairs everywhere. The whole area is kept clean for the customers' enjoyment. The food is good, the servers are friendly and the place is soooo peacefully quiet. We like it. We enjoyed our stay. And the weather was just perfect. The drive to Daanbantayan was nice too.

We stayed here on our visit to the Philippines from New Zealand with family. The Villas were amazing and the setting was beautiful, calm and clean. Swimming in the Pools and the ocean were both great. Dinning at the restaurants was a great experience. The food was great and good size servings. Always someone driving around on the cart to give us a lift anywhere around the resort. We cant wait to return.
