Hall House Hotel. NOT as picture depicts. The entrance is from the back. No lobby just steep stairway up between the back of a small art gallery and a restaurant Not accessible from the rear. Rooms were NOT handicapped accessible. No help with bags up steep stairs. NO elevator we never saw Mike. We had email from him with the code for our door. This hotel was old and the floor was uneven. The balcony was for the restaurant and inaccessible from our room. Very nice bathroom. But couldn’t make up for the dusty flea market “antiques” and the lies in the other reviews. Cannot recommend this hotel.

What a great little piece of history. We had dinner on the balcony at Bourbon st restaurant and really enjoyed our stay! The bed was comfortable and the room was beautiful. The clawfoot tub and the shower are a great touch. Not just a room to flop in but a piece of culture to share.

Mike confirmed a room reservation but never sent a confirmation. As the arrival date neared I tried to contact him to get a confirmation. Starting on the 14th of May I tried to contact Mike via phone and text but got nothing but silence. Finally after 8 days and numerous calls and texts on May 22nd he called and said the room had been rented to someone else despite my having a text from him that stated "I have blocked off the room for you till I can make the reservation for you" After a very frustrating conversation where Mike explained that I just didn't understand and he was only a one man show (I retired after 35 years in the hotel business so I have a fair idea about how reservations work) and he was not in the least bit pleasant about it. To his credit, he later sent an email confirming the room but by that time I had enough of this crap and booked alternative accommodations in a different city. We have always enjoyed Dahlonega but this left a bad taste

My husband and I love to get away to Dahlonega when we have time and this hotel is one of our favorites for sure. We stayed in The Big Room and it was just perfect for our weekend getaway! They had everything we needed in the room, amazing food at the restaurant downstairs (Bourbon Street Grille), great location to everything downtown, and easy access to parking behind the hotel. We will be coming back for sure.

I love an old house but, and old unkept house is a different story. Our first room had not been cleaned. The bed was made but there was trash in every trash bin, used soap and feces on the toilet. Our second room had water stains on the ceiling, the blinds wouldn’t completely close so I moved a chair in front of the window for privacy, the mattress was one step above sleeping on the floor, the floor hadn’t been mopped in ages (my husband spilled coffee and used a washcloth to wipe the coffee up, see pic), the fan was coated in dust, the pillows were old and flat, the fridge was old and made noise all night, etc There’s such potential here at the Hall House!! But I did NOT feel comfortable here. As nice as the owner was, and he was extremely nice, I would never stay here again.

Great location on the square. Old hotel but quaint and charming. The room was clean and decorated nicely. The night we were there was very quiet. I would recommend to a friend. The bourbon street grill was good also.

Loved that our favorite restaurant, Bourbon Street Grill and favorite Hotel, The Hall Hotel, occupy the same building. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend, walking around, relaxing in the jacuzzi and eating out at our favorite romantic restaurant. We stayed in The Monkey Trumpet Room (TMR) because of the jacuzzi and a Queen sized bed. We plan to try the other 4 rooms as well. Highly recommended hotel conveniently located to all Dahlonega offers. Mike was a very likable host who thought of everything!! We were both wowed by our experience!!

I loved the hotel. It's in main square of town - and I think the only hotel that is - and it's an original building. That means, though, that there are none of the luxuries you find in modern hotels. Be sure to bring everything with you because there's no front desk to call. We stayed in the Vineyard Room because it looked out to the square. Windows are blacked out, though, for privacy, so you can't see the square anyway. Also, it's LOUD. You hear everything outside - including the yard work that started at 5 AM and the people loud on the street. The floors are wooden and you hear everyone in the hallways. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Would we stay in the same room? Absolutely not. The town, though, is quaint and gorgeous! Parking is free but in the public parking just behind the hotel.
