Days Inn by Wyndham Dalhart

I gave this property five stars because the people were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread was excellent with biscuits, sausage, and gravy, scrambled eggs, muffins and pastries, and Texas-shaped waffles. Of course, they had the usual staples of cereal, yogurt, and coffee as well. The facility is currently (late August 2024) undergoing a major renovation. When I walked into the building, I did a double take when I saw the baseboards at the bottom of the walls int he common areas torn out, and Pex plumbing hanging down in the lobby area. When I asked the desk clerk about it, she said they're changing the lobby area, taking out some of the walls to give it a more open feel. All that aside, the lobby and breakfast area are clean and dust-free. As a Platinum Wyndham Rewards member, I've seen the full range of what the Wyndham brand has to offer, and in recent months, I've noticed a marked improvement in the facilities throughout the range of Wyndham properties. I look forward to staying at this property again in the future and seeing what the completed project looks like.

The facility is old and claims to be remodeled. However, our room and "new" carpet smelled like pee. The staff was rude and ignored our complaint. The night clerk refused to move us. There was a substance on the floors that our shoes stuck to. We wore socks to bed so we did not have to walk on the floors in the room. The odors were horrible. Do not stay in this motel, no matter what the price.

Rooms have been upgraded and very nice. Rooms are good size. Beds are comfortable. Good size tv and was clear.

My wife and I spent a night here following a long drive. This Days Inn has obviously been remodeled recently: crisp paint jobs outdoors and indoors, sun-blocking shade, modern decor tied to the region (cowboys, horses), and sturdy attractive bathroom fixtures. Our room was clean, the HVAC worked well, plenty of hot water, and good wifi. The free breakfast was good (not outstanding) including scrambled eggs and bacon. Polite staff.

Beautiful, clean, newly renovated modern design room. Exceptional staff. Nice, clean pool, and hot tub. the breakfast was really good as well. This was the nicest hotel that we stayed at along our journey this past week.

This property is a hidden treasure. It is remodelled with many wonderful amenities. The breakfast is hot and the staff is helpful. One interesting thing is that the grackle birds gather at the edge of the property and their chatter is interesting when you are outside. I will stay here again.

New beds, not too high. Center light fixture/ ceiling fan gave better than usual light in the room. Electrical outlets need to be redone also and replace worn-out ones and add more. Breakfast was very good - typical DaysInn. Bathroom did have an odd smell.

I was on my way to Wyoming from Houston, I was tired so I decided to stay at this place. Fast check-in, very clean and great location. I didn’t try the breakfast because I checked out very early but next time I will try it.

The hotel and rooms were a bit run down and needed updating however they were very clean. The free breakfast was a big plus since we had a pet and don’t usually stop for meals on our trips. We just stayed over night and the area seemed safe enough for walking the dog etc. The only real complaint we have is the smell in the cattle town of Dalhart, Tx. We would not stay there again.
