Dali zuodou Sea View Resort Reviews

This hotel is situated away from the busy side of Erhai Lake, but to me it's a plus point as you can enjoy the tranquility of the lake without all the cars and people crowding round (as we visited during the local school holidays). Usually the taxi / drivers will drop you at a communal carpark, then you can ask the staff to pick you up (if u have luggages) and they'll come with a golf cart! It's actually a very short walk away, but the road is cobbled so not the most convenient with luggages. The staff reached out to me via WeChat the day before to give us instruction for pick-up and they arranged for a driver pick up from Dali station to the hotel. Everyone there is extremely friendly and welcoming, and everything went smoothly. Room was excellent! It's pretty big and super clean, even with a bidet! While our view from the balcony was a bit restricted, but you can just go down to the first floor to see the sunrise. They were also nice enough to help us carry our luggages up as there's no lift. Breakfast was lovely, and it even came with croissants (optional). There's also places to chill at the garden of the hotel, with a pool! Sadly we didn't have enough time in Dali to enjoy just chilling and enjoying the lovely scenery (both the lake and the hotel itself which has lovely flowers). Will love to stay here again if I'm ever back in Dali!

Gorgeous surroundings (watched an epic sunrise from bed!), great location (within 10min bike ride to XiZhou, but removed enough to feel serene) and lovely daily breakfast + free afternoon tea. The room was clean and bed was comfortable, but nothing to write home about. Note that it's helpful if you want to have dinner in neighbouring towns, it's helpful if you're ok with biking in the dark or taking a taxi. Overall, such a great place to relax and get away for a little bit :)

A very good hotel with very good location to explore Xi Zhou ancient town and er hai. Thumbs up for the good service. The hotel restaurant serve good bai ethic stir fried food too.

amazing location near er hai. my room had unblocked view and crazy sunsets. food was ok and reasonably priced and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. lovely boutique hotel and would like to visit again.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in. The view is idyllic, and the surrounding facilities are dreamy. Riding bikes alongside the lake is something I'll treasure forever. The breakfast buffet was great. I'd definitely stay here again.

Xizhou is right next to the Erhai Lake pedestrian trail. The hotel is cost-effective when I checked in. The lady also helped me upgrade a side sea view room. The service is first-class. The parking lot is a little far from the hotel, and there will be a shuttle bus to pick me up. The hotel is a 6-minute drive from Xizhou Ancient Town. The hotel seems to have two areas. The flower path in the area where I live is very beautiful. You can take beautiful sunrise views on the top of the fourth floor. There are also rooms (the price of rooms with sunrise and sea views is). The room is indeed the smallest of the three resort hotels I stayed in this time, but the bathroom in the room is very good and I like it very much. The facilities are a bit old, but I think the bed and pillows are very comfortable. There is also a small balcony to see the sea from the side. Breakfast is served by portion, and afternoon tea is relatively simple but not bad. Going out to see the sea, the price should be cheaper than Shuanglang, Dali Ancient Town and other places; the hotel can have dinner dishes, which are fried OK and relatively clean. If the price does not increase in the future, I will choose to stay again

If you don't like the hustle and bustle, you can come here. There are few people and noisy. The homestay itself is good, facing Erhai Lake. Because it is in the village, there are fewer businesses. Cycling along the ecological corridor in the early morning is picturesque and pleasant! In addition, the rice noodles in the restaurant are delicious.

Five stars, absolutely worth the money. Our room has a 270-degree sea view. There is a trail in front for cycling. It is a very quiet room suitable for vacation. I just want to lie in the hotel room and stare at the sea view or have a beer on the lawn downstairs. The ice cream is great. The breakfast rice noodles are delicious.

I have traveled to Yunnan seven or eight times. The breakfast rice noodles at Zuodu are the best in all the hotels and B&Bs I have stayed in. With beef sauce, it is so delicious! There are also welcome fruits and afternoon tea, and dishes are also ordered. You can lie down for two days without going out 😁
