Location is good, just outside the erhai gate and much cleaner and less congested than inside the ancient city. The rooms all seem to have a balcony which is really nice to sit out on. I did some laundry and hung my clothes to dry there. The couple that runs this place are really kind, going above and beyond to help. On my last day, they were holding a marathon and closed off the main road. No bus running there. I couldn't call a cab without a china number so I asked them for help. They managed to get a didi for me (giving driver half hour earlier departure time as a buffer) and I made my train on time despite heavy traffic.

Easy to find the homestay and the owner is very support when we ask to rent car. They have some fruit in the small garden and we took some fruit there. It is near the Dali Ancient Town.
