They will ask for 200rmb deposit. They will give it back in cash which was not agreed on. Wanted money back in my account.

The homestay is good and the cleanliness is decent, though there were some dirty areas in the shower edges and the toilet had a strong urine smell. Other than this, towels, bed, etc were relatively clean. Service was great and staff were responsive and friendly. One minor annoyance is the requirement of a 200 rmb deposit. And additionally the hotel is closed and locked from the outside after around 10-11pm and before 9am ish, So if you plan on coming later or earlier, be sure to notify the staff beforehand. Location depends on one’s preference of the Dali old city, I personally found the area to be overtouristy and inauthentic. And difficult to find scooters or transit. Traffic is horrible here during the summer season. Though the dali pagoda towers being located so close is a benefit of this location. The wifi was exceptionally slow, roaming data was much faster and connecting more than one device made it unbearable to browse. Other amenities are typical. Laundry service is often busy.

There are only 2 standard rooms on the first floor. The room smells very loud and musty. There were also flies in the room on the first floor. So I have no use for bathtubs, and I don’t dare to use them for fear of getting dirty. 2. There will be no one at the front desk after 23:30 in the evening. If you come back late, you can’t find anyone even if you pour a glass of water. Especially if there is an emergency such as a fire or fight, you won’t be able to find anyone. When I wanted to check out the next day, there was no one at the front desk very early, so I had to leave my room card at the front desk. The phone couldn't be reached either. 3. It is difficult to take a taxi. I set off to the train station at 8 o'clock in the morning and took the 9 o'clock train. I waited for 20 minutes but didn't get a taxi. I was so anxious. It was raining and there was no one at the front desk to help me. I went to the door of the B&B to catch the bus in the rain. Who knows, that miserable feeling. . 4. The lady at the front desk is very nice. The boss is not in the store, but after talking on the phone, I feel that she is also very nice. But not this B&B.

The house is at the southernmost end of Dali Ancient Town, close to the Wenxian Building. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the south gate of Dali Ancient Town. The room is large, with a recliner and a small table, windows on three sides, and the mattress has independent springs that will not affect each other's rest. There is a bathtub and disposable bath bags. The bathroom has some sanitary dead corners, but the overall hygiene is acceptable; the projection effect is poor and needs to be updated. There is air conditioning in the room, but it blows directly onto the bed, and a curtain is needed on the middle clothes hanging rack to block the wind; the view from the roof is very good. If the weather is good, you can see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, which is spectacular. Pay attention to anti-slip when the roof is closed on rainy days.
