Very warm hospitality from the host! A welcome dessert was served after we arrived. Pretty impressive with the smart features of the room. We got a free upgrade to a mountain view of the room as the homestay will be doing upgrading works. We got invited to drink tea and eat Chinese dessert at night too! From time to time, the host will check in with us and see if we need any help from them. They are super friendly and we would totally recommend everyone to give them a try if you are visiting Dali. Plus point is it is conveniently located near 大理古城. There is free pickup service to the 古城. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

Very good location, close enough to walk to the nearest entrance of the ancient town and very quiet environment, away from the noise and crowd. The room is quite spacious with everything we needed, including a nice tea table and tea set. The bed was especially comfortable, we slept very well during both nights. Most importantly, the owners were very nice, always checking on us if we needed anything else. We had a few small conversations with them, shared thoughts about culture and travel experiences. They also offered us sweet soup as supper and waffle for afternoon tea. We did not take their pickup service but they offered to send us to the train station upon checking out. Highly recommended, will stay here again if we visit Dali next time.
Ps: Huanxi is such a lovely and friendly dog!

Conveniently located near Dali Old Town. Only 5 mins walk to the nearest old town entrance. There’s no lift but the staff will help you with your luggage. The room is slightly small but the bed and pillow was comfortable. Toilet is good! Electric toilet bowl just like the Japan style. There’s Xiao Ai (aka Hey Google) which can control the curtains and TV. Only thing is Xiao Ai doesn’t understand my Chinese slang 😄. But it’s alright to do without it. The homestay have 2 friendly shiba dogs and a fluffy cat. We had a good night sleep and that was the most important factor of any accommodation. Would stay here again if I come back to Dali.

We stayed in sunshine terrace double room on level 2 with a small balcony.
Good location, opposite one of the main entrance to the Dali Old Town, while it's located deeper into the main road, they offer free chauffeuring service to n fro the main road.
Staff and owner were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Always extending help, chatting with us over tea. There were two very friendly Shiba Inu and a puffy cat. Breakfast was nice, they also provide afternoon tea and a evening dessert. The young guys were always there to help with anything from where to go, what to eat, what to buy etc. SMART Room was excellent, felt like I was staying in a Muji room, equipped with Mi electronics. There was welcome fruits, full amenities from lush bedroom slippers, bath robes towels, to good quality shampoo conditioners etc. There's also free use of washing machine with detergent.
Excellent comfortable experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience staying here for 2 nights! The stuff were helpful and they even prepared fruits upon arrival, as well as great breakfast provided. My husband and I were rushing to leave for airport in the early morning, they even packed some food and milk for us.
Other than friendly stuff , the room is clean and comfy too!

This is our first-time experiencing local home-stay inn in Yunnan. When we first checked into our rooms, little did we expect each of them to be high tech. Indeed, the rooms lived up to its Smart name as they feature an AI device each that could activate the TV, aircon temperatures, curtains and radio with a voice command ("Xiao Ai Tong Xue"). The room size was reasonable comfortable & it comes with separate toilet and bathroom. The toilet bowl seat even came with heater which is fantastic during cold weather. We are also thankful for the complementary tea drinking session every evening. During these sessions, the staff went above and beyond with their friendly sociable chats, and occasionally providing rose biscuits and white fungus soup for supper; making them approachable towards any assistance. The availability of washing machine cum dryer was a plus for us; no need to bring extra clothings for futures traveling. Overall, this sums up our very memorable and extraordinary stay at Dali Molv Shanshe Smart Homestay.

Service provided was immaculate. Service staff was very friendly and provided free drop off and pickup from the Dali ancient city. Sadly we had to downgrade our room from the beautiful mountain view room to a terrace room due to some issues. Our terrace room was definitely not as nice and enjoyable as the mountain view room but at least the staff refunded the price difference to us. Overall still a thumbs up and highly recommend this stay.

It was opposite of Dali Ancient Town but the owners provide free drop off/pick up services between 10am to 10pm! They also have 2 cute shiba inu and 1 cat ＜3 highly recommended!

Stayed 2 nights here and the room was modern, clean, cosy and comfortable. Nice white towels and beddings. The staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. We checked out early in the morning and would miss breakfast but they actually packed us simple breakfast to go. We didn’t expect that…am touched by their thoughtfulness. We had tea with the owner and he spent time teaching us on tea appreciation. Overall, It’s a happy and relaxing place with happy staff and I have nothing but praises for them. 5 star for service!

I had an enjoyable stay here, the people here are very nice and helpful. Firstly, the room is clean, and in general, the entire place is neat and clean. Secondly, they will engage you with a driver whom you can ask to help with itinerary planning and getting you around Dali (with a small fee of course for transporting you around! Generally the price is very reasonable). Thirdly, the breakfast is the same each day, either porridge or mixian but the taste is good. If you arrive home at night before midnight, they will also offer you complimentary night dessert (Had white fungus soup during my stay there). Place is near Dali old town but not very accessible from the old town because it's across a very big road and high up a steep slope, but it's a 5 minutes didi (taxi) away when the old town, so location is not a downside.
Generally, would recommend this place to other travellers as well!

The hotel is well located near to the old town, few meters in a quiet road. The pictures are similar to the reality. The hotel is really nice and with a beautifull decoration. The room is spacious, with all commodities (and with some tea). The coffee is really good, there is a bar and a restaurant.
We were welcomed with some fruits and local pastries. All the staff were very helpfull and kind. They always tried to understand us even if we don’t speak chinese.
At the end of the stay, they gave us some water and pastries, we appreciated.
I can just recommanded this hotel if you stay in Dali.

✅Service: The B&B is perfect. There are delicious breakfast rice noodles in the morning, afternoon tea at noon, and mung bean soup in the evening. The B&B owner will introduce the route like a friend and help you move your luggage upstairs. It is simply healing for the whole journey.
✅Environment: The environment is super good. It has a beautiful view of Cangshan Mountain⛰️. It is just a few steps away from the ancient city of Dali. It is very quiet.
