Breakfast is included, although it is not rich, it is free at any rate, and the team can save a lot of meal expenses on business trips. Room environment is good. It's just that the location is a bit out of the way. When I went out for a walk at night to find a restaurant, I met six or seven homeless people around the surrounding roads. I felt that the law and order was not safe. Of course, you don’t have to think about taking an Uber taxi. If you like to go out for a walk at night, you need to pay attention.

My son and husband stayed here while I isolated at home with Covid. Rachel and the ladies at the front desk cared for “my boys” like they were family rooms are fresh and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Element is a gem between Lakewood and downtown. Will use them for family visits in future. Highly recommend.

This hotel is in the "minimalist" style--very utilitarian without any attempt at beauty, inside or outside. There may be restaurants in the area other than McDonalds and Schlotsky's, but you couldn't see them by walking out the front door; the hotel seemed isolated from much else. The lady at the front desk was by herself attempting to check people in, and a long line of people waiting for their rooms formed well after the rooms were supposed to be available. The hotel is obviously understaffed, though the staff were courteous and seemed to be making the best of the situation. Based on the other comments as well as my own experience, it's pretty obvious that this hotel is not going to make it without some serious attention to details from the owners. Would not recommend.

Made a reservation on-line due to power outage at my house. Arrived at the front desk only to be informed that there were no rooms and my reservation and confirmation code didn't mean anything. Saw three other groups with reservations turned away after me. I stopped looking for other hotels based on this fake reservation. Fraudulent booking.

This used to be my go-to hotel if my first appointment of the morning was at a nearby hospital. On my last visit, when I got to the front door to enter the hotel, the front door to the hotel was closed and you had to call the front desk to ask to be let in (it was 5pm). When I asked the girl at the front desk why they did this, she said it was for safety. I've stayed here half a dozen times and this has never, ever been the case. Additionally, I was working in the lobby while waiting for an Uber Eats order and someone else came to the hotel. She picked up the phone to call to be let in, the front desk attendant wasn't there to let her into the hotel; I had to let her in. My question for the Element is, if this is "for safety" you are implying that the area is unsafe? Moreover, if the area is unsafe, you are endangering your new guests' safety by (potentially) not allowing them to enter the hotel for a safe haven. Why should I need to call the front desk to be let in? If the area is unsafe, the hotel should have a security guard present in the lobby 24/7. For this reason alone, I will not stay here again if I can help it.

Wasn't sure about the Element before checking in, but once we settled in, it turned out to be pretty nice. We were on the 2nd floor, and it gave us easy access to the manager's reception and breakfast just outside our door. ( the corridor to the room was separated by doors that kept the room quiet. The bed was good and the shower great so there's not anything to really point out in the negative. Bottom line, yes I'll go back for a second, maybe a third stay.

This is a great hotel near the State Fair, Restaurants and Music Venue's. We were greeted with a beautiful smile by Arneithia, she and Antoinette helped us with suggestion on food and music. We were not able to say Thank you to both of the ladies.. So... THANK YOU for a wonderful time in Dallas. HOOK EM HORNS...

We had a small family trip to the Great State Fair of Texas. This Marriott property was the closest to Fair Park where the State Fair is held. I used Bonvoy points to book the room. Points give you a free night but they are not really "free". They are hard earned from many nights on the road staying at Marriott properties. This hotel is somewhat minimalistic by design and is well maintained. I would have given the Element four stars had they not charged me $33 to stay in my "free room".

I stayed at the element for 2 nights and I decided to extend my stay for another two nights because I enjoyed the service and location. Antoinette and Tyler were very nice. However, when I went to recheck in, Ashley at the front desk was extremely rude. And now I am reconsidering if I ever want to come back. She is not someone who should be working at front desk because she has no soft skills and is very rude. Upon recheck in, she asked if I wanted housekeeping (which is offered every other day) I told her as this is the “other day” that I expected housekeeping today. she told me not to expect it today because they have groups coming in who are more of a priority. So every guest is not a priority? The guests should suffer because your housekeeping team can’t handle the demand of the expectation that the hotel set for housekeeping? crazy. I told her I expected that today and going a whole stay without housekeeping is unacceptable. She didn’t care and she had an attitude and reaffirmed for me to not expect it. then when she reassigned my room key she handed it to me and didn’t say anything so I left to go up the elevator and it didn’t work. so I brought it back and let her know and she took the card and reset it and gave it back without saying a word. No apology at any point in the interaction. To make matters worse, The keycard didn’t work and she had to do it again. Same dry attitude and once again no words of apology or anything. And it didn’t work TWICE. So the third time she finally got it to work and once again same dry attitude and no soft skills and no empathy. No words spoken at all. If this is how we treat guests at the Element I will not be back. & on top of all of that, I asked her to speak to the manager and she denied me access to speaking to a manager. She said he wasn’t there and when he got back he’s going straight into a meeting so I wouldn’t be able to speak to him. When I asked her when I could speak to him she didn’t answer me and repeated the previous statement. Ashley made me feel like as a guest my needs do not matter and that she does not care. And as a result I no longer want to spend money at this property. Customer facing roles are not for Ashley.

We stayed for a concert. The staff we interacted were all very friendly. We would definitely stay there again when stopping in Dallas. We didn’t have any problems with being charged incorrectly…..

By far one of the WORST hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel itself isn’t bad. However, we booked directly through the hotel to have a suite with a king bed. At check-in, we were notified that the room we had booked was completely sold out. They said when you book through the hotel, it doesn’t actually guarantee a room. All they had available was a much smaller room, not a suite, but we would be charged the same price as we were originally going to pay for the suite. After about 10 minutes of speaking with them, a suite “happen to open up”. The hotel room was totally thrashed, had fire damage around the microwave and cabinet doors missing, and smelled horribly of smoke. Despite the fact that I’m pregnant and was traveling with my baby, we decided to stay in the room because we knew there was no other option. They would not give me a receipt until check out but I knew I needed to check after how the experience had gone so far. We checked out yesterday, and I just received a copy of the receipt. They charged us the rate that we booked for the first night, however, they charge us $30 extra for the second night. We were never notified. I just spoke to the front desk, and was told, “ well, we were really busy that day, so with the occupancy, we charged you more”. I have never had a hotel do that before. Nobody is able to help adjust this, and everyone I speak to at the front desk is not helpful at all, often very rude. I would HIGHLY recommend you not book at this hotel. There are plenty others in the area that would be much better!
