This was absolutely the most perfect accommodation experience of my trip, so I'm writing a positive review!
1. I arrived in Datong by high-speed train at 6 AM. The owner patiently took me and my luggage in. Normally check-in is at 2 PM, but I was just trying it out, and the owner was already waiting for me at the guesthouse entrance at 6:30 AM! So touching! The next day, he even kept my luggage until 4 PM – a true lifesaver for a special forces traveler!
2. The owner recommended good food and fun places nearby, so I didn't need to do any planning – +1 point! Also, the owner has great taste; the food was amazing, especially the shumai!
3. The room was well-equipped and clean, and the location was great! The owner even gave us welcome fruit.

I was amazed when I entered this guesthouse! 😁 My husband and I decided on a whim to take a trip to Datong, so we booked this guesthouse for the night. Perhaps because it wasn't peak season, we only paid 200 yuan. Entering the courtyard, we found it was a small villa with only six rooms. We stayed on the first floor; there were two floors in total. The facilities had unique decorations, and entry and exit were done with passwords. Datong winters are quite cold, so we kept the air conditioning on at 23 degrees Celsius while sleeping because the underfloor heating was incredibly warm. The toiletries were all in small packages, which was safe to use. The place was very clean, the bedding was spotless, and there was even a welcome fruit platter.
