Excellent! The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, every single one of them. They even called a day in advance to inform us about the local weather and remind us to bring warm clothes, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's cleanliness and environment are also top-notch. The breakfast is a buffet with a great variety, and their homemade yogurt is absolutely delicious. The hotel is super close to Fahua Temple, just across the street. You can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Datong.

I booked two rooms for 4, and we were given rooms beside each other. We arrived late at night around 9.30pm and check in went smoothly. Rooms were very comfortable and were equipped with SMART tech with voice activation! We were also able to check out a little later upon request since our train left later in the afternoon. I also had packages delivered to the reception and had no issues. Location was great and easy to explore the ancient city and also to see the main wall itself.
One thing to note is that there isn't a formal drop off point but you can definitely get dropped off and picked up along the side of the road. The room layout was slightly different than the images on Trip.com (I booked a Double bedroom with courtyard view with a stay voucher), but the room was good too although I would have preferred the toilet configuration in the photos. Overall, a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay here again if I get to come back to Datong. They also have a bakery at the lobby and it gets sold out pretty quickly!

Beautiful new hotel. Very friendly staff who offered two gifts to every room during the national holiday. Room felt spacious and luxurious and was sunny and mostly quiet during a very busy holiday period. Hotel restaurant was also delicious with good service. We ate there twice. We also had breakfast everyday of our stay. Very nice quality including lots of local ingredients and choices was fantastic! The hotel is so conveniently located in the ancient city. Walking distance to a really nice cafe with great coffee, lots of restaurants and all the main attractions including pop up laneway markets selling ancient treasures. Honestly, it’s a fantastic hotel and felt worth the price. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel service was excellent, and the front desk staff were very patient in explaining things to guests! Hot towels and hot water were available at the entrance! The facilities were complete and relatively new, and the hotel environment was very pleasant! The breakfast staff were warm and attentive! It's located right next to Huayan Temple, a very convenient location!
