Yungang Meigao Hotel

The room attendant did an amazing job cleaning; every nook and cranny was spotless and tidy, which was very pleasant to see. Thank you for your hard work! The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful. Check-in and check-out were super fast, and they patiently recommended great local restaurants to me. My experience was absolutely perfect!

The room was spacious, sparkling clean, and the temperature was perfect, making it very comfortable. The service was five-star, and the price was incredibly reasonable, even including breakfast for two. The housekeeping service was a lovely little surprise that we really appreciated. Five stars all the way!

This was my second stay here, and the location is excellent, right in the city center, just a few minutes' drive from the South Gate of the Old City. The room is spacious, the service is great, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices; the 'dao xiao mian' (knife-cut noodles) were particularly delicious. Parking is convenient, making it ideal for self-driving tourists.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. During my two-day stay, they delivered a fruit plate and local specialty pastries every day. At checkout, I even received a souvenir. There was also a lantern riddles activity for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which I unfortunately missed because I had already checked out, but the setup looked beautiful.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The location is great; it's a quick taxi or bike ride to the ancient city. Popular local eateries like Xijindao and Beiweijiayan are right nearby. I also highly recommend the hotel restaurant – the food was delicious. They have both above-ground and underground parking, and the lot is huge and free. We got a complimentary room upgrade at check-in, which offered a fantastic view. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom had a great dry/wet separation design with excellent natural light. The hotel breakfast was good, especially the lamb offal rice noodles – they were amazing! The service attitude was excellent; they patiently helped us with any issues we had. They even gave us a thoughtful departure gift of local specialties, which was a lovely touch. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Datong.
