The front desk was not able to process my credit card and had our reservation a bit mixed up. Eventually the person called an off-site manager who was able to override the system and they then checked us in and were very apologetic. Be careful with choosing a cottage. Two of them faced a fairly busy street. The one they reserved for us faced that street, but we luckily were able to switch ours, but only to one that was more expensive. The cottage was comfortable as well as quiet.

Room was clean and comfortable, good size room. I rated 4 stars because first day was noisy, I think were students having a good time on the next rooms but next night was quiet. We enjoyed being there. Was close to UC Davis and close to down town.

I am a business traveler with clients in the Woodland area. For the past 4 years I have been staying at this hotel. Every visit has exceeded my expectations. The entire property - rooms, public areas, outside the building are always clean and well maintained. Housekeeping service is reliable and thorough. Complementary breakfast is better than other similar properties. Recently I had a special request and the manager Mr. Raj fulfilled this without any friction. I will continue to stay at The Woodland Holiday Inn and I highly recommend.

Great value. A little out of the way but access to the freeway was easy. Clean, updated & quiet. Appreciated the microwave & refrigerator. The breakfast was a nice surprise. There was a homeless person at the nearby gas station but none surrounding the property. Parking was a little tight, we got in late & took the last stall.

We stayed at this hotel with a baseball team that was in the area for a tournament. The sales staff (Christina) worked with us to get a group rate for the team and families. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by wonderful front desk staff (Arleny) that not only had all of our keys already set up for us prior to arrival, but had bags with water and snacks for each of our players and coaches. The hotel rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable. When we came down for breakfast, everything was well stocked, including the bacon! That isn't always the case in hotels we've stayed at before. And the breakfast area was kept exceptionally clean. All of our players said that the breakfast at this hotel was much better than the location we stayed at the previous year (Shout out to Toni who was running the breakfast area). We hope to return to this same tournament next year and you bet we will be staying at this hotel.

Congratulations if you're checking TripAdvisor before booking this hotel. I am about to save you a lot of frustration if you intend to rely on the hotel for any kind of shuttle service or expect a quality experience from the Marriott brand. I stayed at this property one week ago on an overnight layover, booking the property for its location close the airport and marketed 24hr shuttle service. Upon my arrival and collecitng my bags I called the hotel to arrange for transportation and was told a ”taxi” was coming to pick me up called ”CityCab” within ”30 minutes.” As the hotel wasn't nearly that far away from the airport it was a little frustrating but alas I waited in the center median as instructed. Finally, after 25 minutes I received a call to my cell phone from a male with a limited ability to communicate that kept hanging up saying ”he was here” and that I needed to ”hurry up!” After three return phone calls I ascertained the cab was conducting its pickups on the opposite island to my airline (no door numbers were provided). The driver was incredibly rude over the ride and the mini van was not large enough for everyone's luggage so I held my 50lb suitcase on my lap. Upon arrival at the property I reserved my morning ride back to the airport at 7am (more on this in a moment) and completed check in. Check-in itself was efficient but as I complete my expense report I've seen they charged the wrong credit card. Perhaps the reason for this is a result of my request for them to let me borrow a wine bottle opener at check-in. Due to theft in the area they don't allow their wine bottle opener to leave the desk area. As a result, the desk agent was nice enough to offer to open my bottle for me. Unfortunately, the bottle opener wasn't the best and the agent went at the bottle with a particular ”death grip” that was not going to work. As a result, he shattered my wine all over his front desk area, cutting himself in the process and spilling wine on everything from paperwork to his computer etc. Hotel theft seems to be a constant concern for this property so if you're looking for an elevated experience I'd stay elsewhere. The TV and furniture is bolted down and there are fewer amenities in the room than Fairfield usually caries (little things like lotion, pen and stationary, etc). It's clear this is a very cost conscious owner that is not concerned with guest satisfaction one bit. The shuttle back to the airport did not arrive at 7am due to some miscommunication. Fortunately, it did arrive at 7:15am and I made it to the airport as my flight was boarding - not the best for Southwest as I got stuck in a middle seat but I did at least make my flight (I have CLEAR so those 15 minutes mean a lot to me as a business traveler). Again, I'd look elsewhere if you value safety, customer service, or need reliable transportation. The bed itself was quite comfortable and the room was clean despite the property being very dated (I am Titanium Elite so if th

We stayed here for a night and wished we can stay for another. Finding the entrance was a little hard, it's right on the left hand side when you drive into the parking lot. Check in was a breeze. We were shocked on how spacious the studio king room was. With kitchen, sofa area and there a place to put your luggage near the bathroom. Spacious bathroom with vent! Multiple plugs everything. Very quiet at night. Will def. come here if we are nearby. Love the layout of the room. Feels very comfortable and spacious. They also have free breakfast, but we didn't get to try it. A small pool and a basketball court.
GGuest UserI've been in hotels of this segment across the US, this one a number of times, and can say without a doubt this is the nicest I've been for the price tag. - Spotless rooms! You can choose the cadence of your cleaning, but at the time they set you up the room is squeaky clean. - Great Breakfast. Not your usual breakfast bar. The management really puts an effort to offer you a very good breakfast. That is probably what I appreciate the most! - Friendly staff. Everyone is kind and helpful. The manager is an awesome lady who puts love into running this hotel. You can see it everywhere.
GGuest UserThe front desk was not able to process my credit card and had our reservation a bit mixed up. Eventually the person called an off-site manager who was able to override the system and they then checked us in and were very apologetic. Be careful with choosing a cottage. The cottage was comfortable as well as quiet.
GGuest UserI am a customer who booked a room at the Vine Inn for two days in April, 2022. The stay was unpleasant due to unsatisfactory maintenance and terrible service there, and I will try to tell the story as objectively as possible: 1. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full. Their parking lot has approximately 14 spots for more than 20 units, so complimentary parking advertised on their website is not guaranteed. I was instructed by the front desk to park on the street. 2. Upon entering the room, there was an unwashed mug below the coffee maker with coffee stain on it. The room was recently remodeled so the overall quality is fine. Specifically, the TV was nice and new so I tried to turn the TV on but could not find the remote. I tried to call front desk but the telephone had no “front desk” label and neither was any instructions or labels nearby. I then walked to the front desk (~10-11PM) but it was locked down, so I went back to my room to do some work but there was no pen and paper provided in the room. 3. In the next morning, I received a ticket for parking on the street. The fine amount was 50 dollars. Then did I realize that from 8AM-6PM there is only 2-hour parking at downtown Davis, but these angled parking spots do not have signs at each spot like mostly everywhere else. The sign is ~100 feet away near the intersection so it is hard to be found at night. I was not informed by the front desk about limited street parking. 4. When I went to the front desk to file a complaint, I requested to talk with the supervisor and cancel the second night for staying with a full refund (yes, only the second night that I am not staying). I was told that the supervisor was not there today. I then requested the supervisor’s phone number to explain the issues and discuss a solution, but I was told that they cannot give me the phone number. I therefore requested the front desk to call the supervisor and pass on the message or make a decision on behalf of the supervisor, the request was also declined. I was told that I have to email the supervisor myself via their general info email address. At this point, it seems obvious that they do not want to resolve this issue at all. I did persist and send the email according to their suggestion, and I also attached my phone number and requested a phone call, but there is no surprise that I have never heard from them since then. I am writing this review four days or two business days after my stay. Below is my subjective opinion: the issues above were only minor issues and very easy to resolve, but the way they handled this showed how poor their service and management were. They could have canceled the second night and given me their hotel credit for one night’s worth or at least the equal fifty dollars for the parking ticket (even though everybody knows that I am never coming back), but they have chosen to waste 15 minutes of my life writing down this long review. If you are choosing to live at downtown Davis, just stay in
GGuest UserRoom was clean and comfortable, good size room. I rated 4 stars because first day was noisy, I think were students having a good time on the next rooms but next night was quiet. We enjoyed being there. Was close to UC Davis and close to down town.
GGuest UserWe needed a place to stay close to a campus event. This was so convenient, with ample parking and a quiet location. No town or partying noises. The rooms are spacious, with a bar/desk area, a living area and a bedroom, separated by a partial wall. We had a family member in the next room and it was easy for us to visit with each other in our room. Very nice. And we could walk to campus and the arboretum trail just behind the hotel. I would stay here again.
AAnonymous UserThe room is small but more economical and comfortable, and there is a microwave and refrigerator and coffee machine in the room! The front desk service is very nice. Go out and walk not too late, the walking distance is five or six snack streets, there are countless Asian restaurants, and there are dessert shops similar to fresh taro fairy. Opposite the hotel is a small convenience store with a complete set of organs open to two or three o'clock, and many things can be purchased there. There is also a Chinese supermarket about 15 minutes walk. Ten minutes walk into the ucd campus, then you can see the uc davis brand, there are many graduates who have taken pictures recently. Restaurants are really many, cuisines are all walking 5-30 minutes away. My room is opposite a very famous California chain brunch shop. I live on the first floor, the room is on the outside, just on the roadside, the room is soundproof.
GGuest UserThe environment is very good, the breakfast is good, there is a parking lot. The location of the hotel is more convenient, there is a Yueshun Hotel nearby, the food is OK. In short, the price/performance ratio is still relatively high on weekdays, that is, the weekend feels a bit expensive.
LLDeMoiseyLet me address the negatives first, yes it is near the tracks and you will hear the trains. This isn't necessarily the hotel's fault. The solution was just use ear plugs and it worked. The husband and I both slept very soundly. My husband was disappointed our balcony overlooked the lawn mower part store parking lot but I didn't care because we didn't plan on using it. The grounds were well kept. We didn't use the pool so I can't comment on that. Far as I have seen the staff are friendly and helpful. All amenities in our room worked and were in good condition and our suite was very clean. The furniture was in good condition, the mattress was firm but comfortable and no lumps or sagging bits. Linens were fresh and clean. There wasn't any dust on surfaces or grime. We were both impressed. The location is a quick walk to downtown or the UC Davis arboretum. The free breakfast is your usual cereals, yogurt and juice type things- but it's a 10-15 minute walk to some fabulous eateries in downtown Davis if you're in the mood for anything else. We would stay here again.
