Onderweg naar de boot van Duinkerke naar Dover een nachtje geslapen in Hotel Aan Zee. Dit hotel uitgekozen, omdat het er op de site zo leuk en anders uitzag. En zo was het ook precies. De kamer was op zich niet echt bijzonder en het bed was (voor ons) heel erg zacht en zakte wat door. Maar beneden zag het er allemaal net zo origineel uit als op de foto's en je kunt er heerlijke wafels eten en lekker bier drinken. Het ontbijt was prima, er was van alles. Ze hebben zo'n 100 meter verderop een restaurant waar je heel lekker kunt eten. Groot voordeel voor ons ook de mogelijkheid om je auto te stallen in een afsluitbare garage voor 1 auto. Konden we alle spullen lekker in de auto laten. Let wel op bij kamer 25: buiten hangt een grote lamp aan de muur en de gordijnen binnen komen net niet tot aan de vensterbank. De kamer blijft dan ook behoorlijk licht 's nachts.

l hotel est propre son style change des autres hotels, la dame est tres gentil, elle a meme eu une attention pour notre chien(gamelle, pt bonbon,coussin) le pt dejeuner est top, de bons produits il y a un tea room testé les gauffres geantes ;) il y a des chambre amenagées pour les personnes a mobilité reduite.

De beste Brusselse wafels van het land vind je hier. Ze zijn trouwens in giga formaat. Je hebt keuze uit verschillende toppings maar klassieke Brusselse wafel met slagroom blijft volgens mij het beste. Snelle bediening en gezellige inrichting binnen. We komen altijd terug naar deze plek.

We komen al meer dan 10 jaar bij Hotel Aan Zee. Een bezoekje aan deze tea room is niet "af" als je geen reuzenwafel hebt besteld. Kwalitatief de beste Brusselse wafels die je kan vinden en dit in XL-formaat. Bovendien kan je heel wat variaties krijgen en niet enkel een zoete versie (suiker, ijs, slagroom, aarbeien, ...) maar kan je ook een hartige wafel krijgen met tal van extra's erbij. De bediening is prima, gastvrouw Nathalie is hartelijk en het is een uiterst kindvriendelijke zaak. Je kan er ook als hotelgast verblijven. Hotel Aan Zee is ook prima gelegen aan de Markt van De Panne waar er regelmatig activiteiten zijn (Kermis, Kerstmarkt, wekelijkse zaterdagmarkt, ...). Voor ons gezin is "Hotel Aan Zee" een begrip voor een lekkere snack, wafel, pannenkoek, broodje, salade, ... En vele van onze vrienden volgden reeds ons voorbeeld en bezochten Hotel Aan Zee ook.
