Hampton Inn Defiance

The hotel is beautiful....however the staff is not the manager and front desk woman have no manners or professional experience and all I had mentioned was a small item tht didn't work in the room. They turned into a bunch of karens...please re-new the staff and I'll definitely be doing business again...and being a diamond member I would have never expected to be treated in such a manner I believe the manager was named Shelly.....she needs a new profession in my opinion.

This hotel was clean and the staff was great. The halls were quiet even though there were a lot of people staying there. Breakfast was good, however there was a very large group, a baseball team I think, whose parents used the dining area as a place to sit and visit. So there was no place to sit and eat. This was not the hotels issue but simply thoughtless people. The pool, whirlpool, and fitness center were clean and staff we interacted with there were great. We have stayed at Hampton Inn’s for years because the beds are consistently comfortable. However, the past few years this has changed. The beds in this particular Hampton were like sleeping on a rock. My, husband, daughter, and I all had horrific back pain after trying to sleep there one night. After two nights, I had hip pain that made it difficult to walk. It was very difficult to travel in the car after that. We definitely would not stay there again because of the beds. This is really too bad because it is a nice hotel with lovely staff.

The manager on duty was very professional and helpful. She greeted me with a smile and helped to make the check-in smooth. The hotel was updated and very clean. The room followed along the theme of updates and clean. This made the whole stay very enjoyable. Well done!

First time using Digital Key and it was so easy and awesome! Let me pick my room day before, so I picked top floor, away from freeway and facing the woods in the back. You have to have the app to do digital key but it was simple enough. Our room had a different layout of other Hamptons, with the King bed facing toward the window. Nice sofa, tv in the corner of room which was clear and had lots of channels. Very clean everywhere. Breakfast had fresh fruit and other good choices. Lemon water available 24/7. So many great things about this hotel!

Great place to stay…from housekeeping to breakfast to room everything was top notch. Highly recommend…we enjoyed the pool and hot tub…convenient location to restaurants and shopping…the rate was reasonable and we weren’t “nickel and dimes” for extra/hidden charges like some hotels do.

Had to check out an entire night before planned because the bed was like sleeping on concrete. It was so hard that I had back and hip pain all day. The staff was nice and the room clean, but the beds are totally outdated and as a Gold member who stays at alot of different Hilton properties, this is by far the worst experience I have ever had sleeping at a Hilton property.

I chose the Hampton Inn over the nearby Holiday Inn because of their good reviews. The hotel staff were great but that didn't help our room flea problem. Both my wife and I got bit by fleas. A light switch above our bed was broken, the alarm clock didn't work and the security bolt on our door wouldn't work.

Clean, decent size rooms, breakfast was excellent, all staff members very courteous and helpful. Only negative I’d have is pillows too soft and uncomfortable…and that’s just personal preference. Overall good experience and would stay there again.

Rooms clean, quiet surroundings ! Breakfast hot and fresh! Hotel staff friendly and efficient! House keeping was excellent and honest . Bathroom facilities were refreshed and sanitary. Loved the small soap bars, less wasteful. We will be back.
