Holiday Inn Express DENVER DOWNTOWN by IHG

Location was great, me and the wifey were in town to see the Phillies beat the Rockies!

The guy at the reception desk was rude. I needed to check in. I waited for a while for him to chitchat with the people in front of me. He clearly saw me but was ignoring me. It’s great that the guy was telling the people where to visit and wanting to write down a list for them. And the people asking 100 questions. But that part could have waited. I finally walked up to the counter. He asked if I had a question rudely. No, I didn’t, I needed to check in and I had somewhere to go. He finally helped me, not friendly at all with me. I did ask about the parking situation, he mentioned street parking or valet parking. I didn’t ask for valet parking but was charged a valet parking fee. (I did get this fixed the next day)

Suggestions for improvement for Holiday Inn Express based on our stay experience: better guest communication is needed, especially informing guests ahead of time regarding non-working air conditioning before arrival. Daily housekeeping consistency should also be improved. Adding basic room amenities such as a refrigerator and complimentary dental kits inside the room would enhance guest comfort. Despite these concerns, the free lobby coffee, 24-hour gym access, and accommodating staff were appreciated. With improved maintenance, communication, and room service, the hotel experience could become much better for future guests.

First no hot water on lower floor. Changed to higher floor, hot water worked. Not convenient to drop off customers. Front entrance only allow valet parking.

Flight got canceled and this hotel was unwilling to cancel or change my dates. Lost money for no reason!

Stay elsewhere. Our room lost power 3 times and the front desk night staff was less than helpful. We had to move all of our belongings in the middle of the night to a different room. No ice in any of the machines. Night front desk staff was condescending and sarcastically unprofessional. Don’t stay here. We spoke with management Sarah Crespo who advised to be refunded fully through Trip.com. We would like a refund, not a free room. She can be reached at 720.334.9204.

Room was super small, hallway smelled of heavy cigarettes even though it was none smoking, breakfast was horrible.

Four nights. One of four, July 28, room AC stopped around 2am and room was 76F. But other days were ok. Breakfast depends on the day, sometimes very good and the others like motel level. People were nice.
