Beautiful place and friendly owner
Nigel communicated well with me prior to arrival, ensuring I was clear on everything, and supplied clear instructions by email. He showed me to my room which was beautiful and decorated to a high level. It had all the usual amenities and a fridge where he'd provided fresh milk. Bathroom was opulent and clean, with luxurious towels.
I'd definitely stay again.

Great Place....
The pictures don't do the place justice, the location is great and its minutes walk into Borrowash for shops and pubs etc and only a few minutes drive into Derby. The place is quiet and very clean and well maintained, secure and welcoming. Theres only three rooms so its not overly busy and the parking is very secure with a phone controlled gate on entry and exit to the property. The rooms are spacious, well equipped with a fridge, kettle, TV and a bathroom (I think one room has a separate bathroom but its next door to the room and you don't have to walk past Pride Park to get there). Theres also a larger sitting room downstairs for you to use in front of a large cosy fire and large table so if you want to take a laptop and work you can. Finally the owner is very friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this place and will be back when next in the area.

Highly recommended accommodation and Nigel was a very attentive host. Our room was very clean and comfortable and will return again if in the area. 5 stars all round !!

What a gem Beautiful room and bathroom with the biggest shower. Nigel was charming. You won't find a better place to stay in this location. Wife quite fussy staying elsewhere but felt completely comfortable here. Very local to amenities. Golf range 5 minutes away if you fancy hitting a few balls. Lovely country park about 15 minutes away. The famous Heights of Abraham about 30 minute drive away at Matlock. A must visit. Need to get there early as parking at the cable car quickly taken but other parking available with a short walk.

We needed a one night stay over in Ilkeston and booked Borrowfield Lodge through ***********. We were asked in advance our arrival time and when we asked if we could check in earlier than the normal time we received a lovely welcoming email from Nigel confirming this He was there to greet us on arrival and we were delighted to be upgraded to the large double room from the standard one which we had booked. Everything about the room was lovely, from the furnishings, bedding, towels, enormous bathroom, tea, coffee, water and fresh milk provided to the complimentary toiletries. We had trouble getting through to a nearby pub to book a meal and Nigel immediately rang the owner’s private number and secured a table for us. Nigel is so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We would highly recommend this little gem of a place and will definitely stay here again should we ever be in the area.

Charming host who gave us some great recommendations. Excellent accommodation with a large bedroom and a very modern, smart bathroom. In the morning we had an impressive continental breakfast. Highly recommended and looking forward for an excuse to return
