Stables Ashbourne

My wife & I stopped here on the way home after celebrating her birthday at the Malmaison in Manchester. The Stables absolutely knocked spots off the Manchester stay, hands down! We entered the Bowling Green pub to check in an hour early and enjoyed a drink in the bar whilst we waited. Amy and the staff were very attentive, keeping glasses full and providing snacks. They even had the room ready ahead of schedule allowing us to check-in early and enjoy the facilities. The room was excellent, superbly furbished with a lovely en-suite, all spotlessly clean. The staff had decorated the room with rose petals and balloons, on account of my wife’s birthday, which was a nice touch. There was a coffee machine, tea pot, fresh milk, the bed was super comfortable and the Japanese hot tub was a delight, especially as room service was on hand with pink champagne & chips! The attention to detail was immaculate. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. They really are steak aficionados. We would highly recommend the Stables.

The staff were friendly and helpful with ideas what to do in the area. The room was clean and we enjoyed the hot tub. Would recommend stay.

We’ve just got back from a lovely stay here. The staff were so friendly, food was amazing and the room was perfect. Thank you for the little touches as we were celebrating our honeymoon, we really appreciated that. Thank you so much again and we can’t wait to return!

Amazing We absolutely loved our stay at Stables - we wish we'd booked for longer! Check-in was really simple (once we'd figured out to head into the pub next door) and the room was spotless and felt luxurious. It had lots of great features, like the coffee machine, underfloor heating in the bathroom, luxury bath products and complimentary drinks in the fridge - but the show stopper was the hottub! It stays at one temperature for the duration of your stay, so it's really simple to use. Would highly recommend a stay at Stables!

Everything you'd want in an overnight stay A great location for visiting this lovely market town. Really nicely appointed and furnished room with everything we needed including the added luxury of a hot tub. We had breakfast and lunch at The Bowling Green pub attached and had one of their famed pizzas delivered to our room. Staff were really pleasant and very helpful. A fantastic stay all round.

Great Place Great place and would definitely stay here again. They have some stunning walks near by which is also great.
