Perla Dhangethi

I don't have enough good things to say about Perla and the beautiful people that run it. I'm not long back from a worldschooling hub that was organised and run here and it was AMAZING. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Delightfully cool to retreat from the heat. Fridge, kettle, fresh filtered water every day and cleaned every day too! The restaurant and food was great and the team couldn't do enough for us. Everywhere was serviced with attention and love and this family run business is a huge part of what made our trip so fantastic. All the ocean based activities and their knowledge of and care for the local aquatic wildlife with their expert guides (who were amazing with the kids too) was outstanding. I've travelled a LOT and this was up there as one of my absolute best experiences. Felt so well looked after on every level. Being within a local island among Maldivians and hopefully supporting local families was the best way to experience this stunning part of the world. We had an amazing family holiday in the Maldives .Perla could not do enough for us, the owners and staff were super friendly and went above and beyond when in need. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were very comfortable there is air con in all the rooms. The high street has a few shops with some lovely gifts for all ages.The food was very tasty and diverse at the guest house. We loved having the swimming pool and left our holiday with the want to go back and visit again in the future. Thank you Perla Dhangethi you were amazing and your home and seas are truly magical.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of Dhangethi. Very comfortable beds. Hotel has a tropical vibe, complete with parrot! We enjoyed swimming in the pool, having breakfast and dinner upstairs on the breezy patio, and talking to the kind staff. After two weeks, it started to feel like home. They had the best food on the island, too! The snorkel and diving excursions can’t be beat. We swam with turtles, several sources of sharks, turtles, dolphins, eels, octopi and scores of tropical fish. Unlike at other resorts, Siri, Ali and team were so chill and flexible, and it made a huge difference! Want to jump off the roof of the boat? Go for it. Want to stay in the water a little longer so you can watch the eel hunting the octopus? Not a problem. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun at the Perla, we loved the little island of Dhangethi and made so many happy memories there.

My 3 girls and I had a wonderful experience staying at Perla. Siro, Ihkko and their beautiful daughter Liv were amazing hosts along with all the staff that made our stay so awesome. The guesthouse is situated on the main high street very close to local restaurants, shops and minutes from both the jetty and harbour for all the sightseeing/boat tours. It has a pool which is such a welcome treat to cool down and a cool Macaw called Pi that the girls loved saying hello to. We truly had a magical stay at Perla and we hope to be back very soon 🤞🤞

One of the most friendly places I have ever stayed. The guesthouse is clean, the food is great and plentiful and the location is perfect. The local island vibe was perfect for our family of 4, much better than the resort islands which feel far too clinical for our needs. The swimming pool was a blessing, the kids loved having the pool after a long day in the ocean. The snorkeling trips and other excursions offered by the guesthouse were extensive and such good value. Perla has some of the nicest, most friendly staff you will ever come across. They will do anything to ensure you have an amazing stay with them and will help with every element of your trip. We will 100% be back.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Perla Dhangethi. We traveled with our 12 year old son and a group of friends staying for 2 weeks and it was honestly the BEST vacation we've had ever... and we travel a ton. The accommodations are very comfortable and provided plenty of space. The beds were extremely comfortable, the AC worked well, the hot shower was always a warm welcome after a long day of EPIC adventures with the Perla staff. We went whale shark swimming, reef snorkeling, manta ray swimming, nurse shark swimming, sand bank snorkeling and lunch, abandoned island exploration and MORE. Our excursions were beyond incredible and the Perla guides were absolute experts. The gursthouse grounds are lush and welcoming. The staff is friendly and warm. What else can I say? This was a 10/10 stay for sure. If you book here you will not regret it. Folks who stay here are not treated like random guests, they are treated like family and that's how we felt the entire time. We can't wait to return.
