Another great visit to Aveyla Manta Village. On a local island so no alcohol, but who needs that with the amazing diving and snorkling Its got all the feel of a boutique hotel, great rooms, great food and its right on the beach and only half a mile from Hanifaru Bay A world unesco heritage site with hundreds of mantas in season. No mantas this trip, but the dive sites are like swimming in an aquarium, so many fish, corals, and other wildlife. A pod of spinner dolphins followed our boat today Great experience

The snorkel and dive tour guides had such a keen eye and didn't miss a thing to help us explore the hidden treasures and creatures on the reef. The food was wonderful and the accommodation was very comfortable with a fantastic house reef out the front. The waiter was especially wonderful. It's a very chilled and luxurious place to explore and stay.

We had a great week here in October with some diving and snorkeling and just relaxing. The staff are super helpful and everyone is very friendly. The rooms are spacious enough and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and happy to help with dietary requirements. The diving is amazing with many sites close by.

I stayed at Aveyla with my wider family and two young children in August 2023 and had an unforgettable experience. The staff were superb - nothing was too hard to sort - whether it be finding fins for my 5 year old or sourcing a coconut for us to eat on the beach. The accommodation is practical and there are lovely communal areas so if you have come as a couple or alone it is an easy place to make new buddies. The food was lovely local cuisine with a twist of Western dishes. There is a relaxing beach (when my children were not there) for people to sunbathe and a breakwater for you to snorkel around (great for beginners!) where there is an array of fish and one day we spotted a turtle. Swings hanging from the palm trees and beautiful sunsets - just make sure you bring the bug spray! The local town of Dharavandhoo is lovely and the locals are very friendly (just bare in mind to dress conservatively). There is a harbour where at night you can spot sharks. The Liquid Salt dives were fantastically organised and safety was always paramount (both for the divers and the marine life). There is a strict code and real sense of appreciating the marine life and respecting it which I really liked. I was able to snorkel with my 5 year old where we had our own dive 'master' escort him with a safety ring so he got to observe the mantas safely. There was time for fun after snorkels and dives with a great feeling of community amongst strangers on the boat - jumping in and enjoying a hot tea with some fresh coconut. As for the diving - it was truly magical. We saw mantas, turtles, sharks, endless fish and when we were on board the boat we had dolphins on a few occasions swim along side the boat. During the week we were there I also got to snorkel with a whale shark (twice) - again I was really impressed with how the Liquid Salt dive team managed tourists and had a zero tolerance policy when it came to respecting the whale sharks and mantas (even including the type of camera and lens used). We are already planning our trip for August 2024 :-)

I came to the hotel for 7 days and really liked it. Excellent service, hospitable staff, special thanks to Ahmed, the manager of this hotel, for his warm welcome and attentive attitude towards us. The rooms are all clean, beautiful, overlooking the ocean. I would also like to note that the rooms are cleaned twice a day, it’s just wonderful, the food is delicious, the cook in this hotel works at 100 percent, putting his soul and skill into it, I’ll definitely come again. Thank you

We spent our summer vacation on the island of Dharanvandhoo in the Guesthouse Aveyla Manta Village in mid-July 2021. Since we received a very warm welcome, we felt comfortable right from the start. Our room was on the first floor with a view of the immediately adjacent palm beach and the turquoise blue sea. The room was equipped with both a fan and air conditioning. Our favorite breakfast was the traditional mashuni (tuna-coconut mix) with chapathi and omelette (a little bit spicy). In the evening we looked forward to delicious dishes such as pumpkin soup, seafood rice, dal curry, etc. We won't forget the barbecue with shrimps and redsnapper as well as candle light on the beach!!! Since we liked the food so much, we later decided to have lunch at Aveyla Manta Village. The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive and helpful. Although the travel formalities were very extensive overall due to the Corona pandemic, we always felt safe and protected on site, so that the risk of infection was not an issue during our stay. The guesthouse has a beautiful house reef and invites underwater enthusiasts to go snorkeling. Every now and then we could see schools of dolphins passing by from the beach. Hanifaru Bay, a biosphere reserve known for its manta rays, is just a few minutes away from the guesthouse by speedboat and is really worth it. For diving enthusiasts, a variety of diving sites can be reached with the Liquidsalt Divers diving center, which is attached to the guesthouse. Due to the monsoon, the visibility was sometimes not so good, but the underwater world was unforgettable! The encounter with a manta ray at a cleaning station and with several green sea turtles was wonderful :) In the evening we were able to watch beautiful sunsets on the beach. The undholis (Maldivian swings), which can also serve as a nice photo opportunity, were also popular. Overall, the peace and quiet that the island exudes was very good for us. The contact with the islanders also contributed to making our vacation an unforgettable experience! Many thanks at this point to Ahmed and his family and also to Risheen from Liquidsalt Divers and to all the employees at Aveyla Manta Village.

Aveyla Manta Village was an incredibly diverse experience, from amazing beaches, kind people, and world class dives. The personalization with the dive instructors and chefs felt like they were close friends and family! The manta ray snorkeling and freediving was especially memorable, and all of our dives were extremely well planned, with lots of sealife, including massive schools of fish, many turtles, and even some sharks and rays. Paddleboards and kayaks were enjoyed around the beach and house reef.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 days and couldn't have a better experience. I was in one of the rooms on the ground floor, in front of the beach. The room was clean and very well equipped, with a fridge and a safe, a/c and fan. The views were beautiful. The bikini beach is literally in front of the hotel. It’s a white sand beach, very clean, with clear waters, which allows bathing and snorkelling. Very friendly and accessible staff. They came to pick us up at the airport and allowed us to stay a little later than check out. The food is quite good and in abundance. Especially breakfast, with the traditional Mashuni. Highly recommended experience.
