The Half Moon Inn

The best thing here is the staff, they are lovely. Rooms were clean, but basic. It said courtyard view ….basically you were in the car park! Cars parked in front of your door with cars coming in and out over a gravel car park. Vans were our view. Our bathroom window was not frosted, admittedly a high window, but I could see out of it so people in the car park behind could see in. There was a blind. Food was awful, evening meal was edible for two of us but breakfast was another story. I had the Half Moon breakfast, one slice of bacon, one sausage, half a mushroom (Half Moon?) and half a slice of toast (Half Moon) and a hard poached egg. We requested two more soft eggs which came out after we had eaten the rest of the breakfast dripping in water! An extremely busy pub so cars constantly in and out. We couldn’t understand why anyone would choose to eat here?. Anyway we didn’t eat there on our second night and we couldn’t face the breakfast we had paid for the next day. Thankfully only a two night break! Just want to reiterate, the staff were the best thing about this pub!

Good fresh food, didn’t wait too long and arrived piping hot, excellent service- young lady and young man serving on Saturday night were excellent, friendly and attentive and observed good hygiene standards by both. Definitely recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Thank you Keighly for being so helpful during our recent stay on 28th and 29th June. Our granddaughter was very pleased to receive her treasured cuddly toys which she had left behind! We had a lovely stay in a Family Room which met all our needs perfectly. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. See you next year!

Had an amazing time at the half moon inn, the food was good nice and chill atmosphere where you can relax while you are having dinner then afterwards we went to the bar for a few more drinks which was also nice and great service from the two young ladies

Not visited for many years so thought would give it a try and we were not disappointed. Generous portions sizes, reasonable prices for food and drink. Bucket of fish and chicken was excellent. Lamb shank unfortunately little over cooked. Deserts were quite small however. Nice atmosphere, we will be back.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was on my own and the bar was busy but they found a table for me and the food was lovely. All home made and huge portions

We had heard good things about the pub and we were not disappointed, the food and staff were amazing, very generous potion sizes and the staff will even wrap up your leftovers so you can take them home. We would highly recommend the half moon for a meal out !

We were staying locally at Rose Cottage for my mums 80th. And decided on using The Half Moon for her birthday evening meal What a great idea that was, very friendly welcoming atmosphere. The ladies that were working couldnt do enough for us. We had prawn cocktails and then ate the steak and stilton pie from the specials board . Simply delicious , no room for dessert The bar area is lovely and quaint and there were some locals playing a die game , very friendly. All in all a very lovely evening Thank you Half Moon .

A friend and I enjoyed a fantastic overnight visit to The Half Moon Inn , Rushall. Visited on a Saturday evening after a day’s Masters of the Air themed history tour across Cambridgeshire and Norfolk culminating in a visit to Thorpe Abbotts . A lovely cosy rural pub with great bed and breakfast and room facilities . Super clean and tidy rooms, comfy bed, well stocked with tea and coffee and facilities plus plenty of towels and toiletries. Hearty food and drink menu on offer with generous portion sizes served in a buzzing front bar or in the spacious restaurant. Special mention for the friendly and very helpful staff who were really superb service wise. The pub walls carry pictures and artefacts of the 100th Bombardment Group USAAF which makes for a very poignant reminder . Can heartily recommend this great country pub and B&B.
