Hotel Sea Hawk Digha

Really a good hotel in old Digha, just infront of sea side. As per room, sea view & location. But I saw some previous reviews & I have faced the same here that THE OPEN TIPS DEMANDING thing by the hotel staff was very annoying, unprofessional & embracing also. I would like to say that "Tips" is a thanks giving or accomplishments from service reciver to service provider, it should not be like forcefully or demanded manually. Dear Owner/Chair person of Sea hawk, I would like to tell you that I really liked your hotel in every aspect but "YOU SHOULD TEACH YOUR HOTEL STAFF THAT DON'T RUN, DEMAND OR RING ANY GUESTS ROOM BELL FOR TIPS, IF YOU HAVE PROVIDED GOOD SERVICE THEN YOU DEFINITELY DESERVE A THANKS (TIPS) FROM GUEST. OTHERWISE IT'S REALLY HARMING YOUR HOTEL'S REPUTATION. Thank you Krishnendu Bhattacharjee

Will never recommend anyone to book this hotel unless the rooms are clearky shown. Really very very disappointed with the management of this hotel. I booked this hotel for my parents and paid in full on a Friday and I was promised that the invoice would be delivered by Monday evening. On following up multiple times on Tuesday they sent me a WhatsApp photo of the invoice which is highly unprofessional. Secondly when the room was booked I asked them to give them a room on the second floor and they convinced us that the view on the first floor is amazing and on reaching the hotel my parents found out that the view is there is a small building in front of the room which blocks half the view of the ocean- which was one of the main reason for booking this hotel. on calling them they said the rooms are all booked out- which was not the case when i initially called them and asked them about the room. snd the person who handles the call is one of the most indecent and unprofessional person i ever had a chat in any hotels. He doesn't have any decency to talk to the customers and disconnected the call straight away.

Date of travel: 11-15 Nov, 2023. Room: Sea Facing VIP room, 273 A. Charge per-night: INR 4,480. No breakfast in the package Pro: Spacious room with Sofa. Good sea view. Nice garden with play area for children in the property. Con: No fridge. The wardrobe had two blankets that stank. No tea/coffee arrangement or kettle in the room. The TV made noise. No toiletries in the bathroom. Poor Wi-Fi connection. No lift in the building. The food in the restaurant is passable. Too many asks for tips. Service - good in pockets.

Hotel Sea Hawk is one of the best and one of my favourite staycation in Old Digha. An iconic beach-front hotel with excellent service facility. Food quality is too good. Rooms were neat and clean. There's a restaurant from where you can order food just by calling or dine in. It was a beautiful experience! 😍🌊

I visited on 6.6.23 A beautiful big hotel in the prime location of the beautifully renovated old Digha beach. The back gate of the property opens up in the beach and this is the old hotel in old Digha which opens up on the beach walkway. Our room rate was Rs3940.00 with a balcony from which we could see the sea . The room was very big , good AC , comfortable bed and good food but the only drawback were the people who would keep asking for Tip after each work they did. This was a real irritation for me. I always give a consolidated tip on the day I check out but due to this behaviour I just gave one guy who dropped us in our room and then I found that this was we have to face each time so I decided not to pay any tip while I was checking out. I was so irritated with this behaviour that I didn’t even feel like asking them to clean our washroom that was stinking and water dripping always. Request management to train the staff otherwise it will hamper the reputation of such a wonderful property

Hotel Sea Hawk a great place to stay during your Digha trip. The hotel is just next to the sea beach. The rooms are clean and luxurious. They have a restaurant from where you can order food just by calling or dine inside the restaurant. The price is low considering the location and the facilities. I would love to stay here again!

Very bad bad experience, no perfect bathroom pan or commod no hair shampoo oil no toothpaste toothbrush no geyser, no electric kettle no tea or coffee pouch no suger free pouch...nothing. only for viws and room 4000rs for 24 hours?

Fabulous location, great food, awesome reputation but unfortunately low on maintenance, greedy staffs , extremely poor and ridiculous amenities in room. We paid around 3500 INR+GST per night, and can you imagine we got 1. no toiletries in room (had to ask for it and got single soap) 2. bad smell, had to ask for room freshener 3. no coffee/tea maker (forget about hair dryer or mini fridge) room was basic, with good view of Bay of Bengal and AC was working fine. Food was awesome, as I said. But, here comes the staffs, guys they ask tips for anything and everything. The sweeper keep on knocking on the door to ask for tips, room service guy can knock on the door at 11pm, because tomorrow we were to check out which is their off day and they didnt want to miss the tips. Can you imagine? I travelled a lot with or w/o family and stayed in multiple hotels in different places of India, this is incorrigible. My little kiddo was so annoyed, he kept on asking, why this uncle is asking for money papa, did you ask him to do something for us? I had to reply to my son - 'son, uncle is expecting tips for the work he is already paid off by his employer' .. such a pity. I will never ever stay in Sea hawk. But, I will definitely visit the restaurant in future. Point to note: The Bar cum restaurant manager at ground floor is a very decent person and tried to help to the best extent. His smiling face was such a relief during our lunch :) The young guy at this facility was quite well behaved and unlike his seniors upstairs, didnt ask for tips etc.

This hotel offers the best possible view of Bay of Bengal directly from your private balcony attached to your room(room nos.235, 236, 234, 233 etc). You can enjoy a very comfortable stay supported by the warm hospitality of the hotel staff. Starting from reception manager, security personnel, room service guys everyone around greets you with a warm smile so that you always feel at home. Food is reasonably priced and quality as well as taste is excellent. This hotel is situated a little away from the bustle of old digha which further adds to it's charm. Really nice place to spend time with family and friends.
