Property Description

Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located on the historic Suwannee River. Get away from it all. Easy access to Fanning Springs (1.5 miles up river) and Manatee Springs (7 miles down river). Bring a boat, or two 2-person kayaks available for use. Great views from the deck and dock that overhangs the river. Very peaceful. Most people that know the Suwannee River feel that the home's location is fantastic, and the best of all the options. The river in this area is very large and grand, especially compared to up river where it can be quite narrow and crowded. It's size makes it great for skiing, tubing, and boating, and dealing with other boaters isn't really an issue. It is far enough up river (about 32 miles by boat) that you don't have the biting yellow flies of the coast, but close enough to boat down to the coast and back for fishing, or spending the day on your own private secluded island beach. The area has very little development as well, so you get the real sense of being in "old world" Florida. It truly is a unique, wonderful experience. Please note: cell service may be limited. We have wi-fi with Starlink which works pretty quickly. There is no cable TV, however, we do have ROKU's connected to both TV's. You are welcome to log into your streaming services, but, please be sure to log out when you leave the home so other guests can't use your services. This property is quite rustic and remote, and is a great way to get away from it all. However, there is limited access to cellular phone service. Please understand the nature of your get away before booking. Master bedroom with king bed, guest bedroom with king bed, and kids room with two bunk beds each with trundles. Easily sleeps 10. One of the more common questions we get is regarding docking a boat at the property. You have a few options with regards to keeping a boat on the Suwannee River (flow of the river and boat wakes are a problem). Approximately 1/2 mile down the road from our rental house is a public boat ramp which is not very busy, and easy to launch/retrieve your boat. That is the preferred method and would take less than 30 mins. Leaving the boat in the water with the current and other boaters creating wakes is possible, but not optimal. One option would be to tie the boat to the dock which is cantilevered over the river and anchor the aft section in the river (might require swimming to shore unless you are creative). The property is just as listed. Kitchen has everything needed. Beds are comfortable. Outdoors is just as listed. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Our son lives in the area and we will definitely stay again!

Great view of river and lots of space in the home. Drive in was a little tight hor our boat but we made it work. Nice location for hopping on the river and spring hopping. Extremely well stocked kitchen supplies.

Fun Great week. The floors were dusty could have been mopped before we came that is the only reason I gave cleanliness a 4. I would definitely come back. It was very easy to speak to the host and they responded very quickly. Everything was as listed and in the pics. We had an amazing time.

Great Place to Recharge This house was great. The bedrooms were huge, kitchen was great. The outdoor area was wonderful with different sitting areas. Great place to relax.

River get away. This place was perfect for us. We needed close access to the river and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed fishing and cruising and just relaxing in general, in a beautiful river environment. Betthan expected.we be back.

Nice Location on the Suwannee River This home has comfortable couches and beds. There is plenty of living room seating for a huge crowd. There is an additional couch not shown in the photos. There are plenty of spices and kitchen tools if you plan to cook. There are two refrigerator/freezers. The seating area around the fire pit and on the dock are very relaxing. The river is gorgeous! There is a rooster next door that crows ALL day long. He does quiet when it is very dark outside. You can barely hear him when inside the house. The photos show carpeted floors. There is no carpet in the house. It is all tile or wood floors. The neighbor's dogs usually came to visit as we opened or closed the gate. They did not come close. They were not threatening at all.

SRF stay on Suwannee We have stayed here for a few years, every year during Suwanee River Fair. It's always clean, and easy to communicate with owner. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing gem of a place! Absolute gem of a vacation home! Comfy beds and furniture, everything we needed in the kitchen, private location, wifi worked great (didn't seem slow to me even though in a remote rural area), excellent communication from owners. Looking forward to a future stay!
