The staff and food are the two things that make this hotel. The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Unfortunately the rooms and the building itself are a big let down. For the price of a nights stay - the least you could do is revamp the rooms. They're very cold due to bad windows (even in August!), paper thin walls, chipped tiles, broken toilet seat, stains on the pillow protectors, bad matresses, worn out bedclothes, curtains too short for the window, the tv the size of a stamp and everything just overall old and tattered. The corridors to the rooms are uninviting and the seats/tables in the bar area have seen better days. This hotel has so much potential. With the river running to the back of it - this could be a vocal point. This could be the best hotel in Donegal town.
