Was refused a lunch serving even though there was a range of tables available with the manager saying they had to concentrate on their bookings! Booked a table for the following week and arrived on time, sat down at our table and watched as two groups were sat down presented with menu’s and had there orders taken! After 15 minutes of being ignored we decided to leave! As someone who’s been visiting the running horses for over 30 years I’d have to say it’s latest face lift is definitely its worst! I cannot comment on the food as we didn’t even get a menu!!

We booked this hotel so we could use the steam room and hot tub however both were out of order for 3 days which was the duration of our stay. The food in the hotel - the service was appauling I waited 1.5 hours for a vegan beef wellington to then be brought a caulifour risotto which I didnt order and was given the excuse that the chef didnt have enough time / it would take too long to make a vegan wellingotn- even though it was a sunday roast meal and they knew I didnt eat meat 4 hours before the meal and I was told originally I would have to wait 10 minutes for my wellington after queing up at the cavery- so all I had to eat were sides. The room was great- and hotel immaculate

Friendly staff. Good location. Easy access to supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. However, there was no air conditioning. You could open window a little bit, but air ventilation was still not good. It’s hard to say there was a view in the room, unless you consider a loading bay was okay. There was no free wifi provided in lounge or in hotel room. It’s chargeable at £3 per night. It’s noisy in the morning when workers began unloading products for a supermarket nearby.

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay, with breakfast, as our friend was having his 60th birthday here. When booked we received a ‘special’ deal as the party was being held here. Plenty of free parking on arrival. Reception couldn’t have been swifter nor more friendly, yet professional. The charming young lady was the first, but not last, plus for the hotel. A nice smile to start our stay. She explained everything that was needed especially to keep the key card away from credit cards and phones as, she said, they get easily wiped clean. The room was nice and large with tea/coffee facilities (with biccies), wall mounted TV and USB sockets, ironing board and iron. Bed was so comfortable and pillows soft. Bathroom had all needed items such as toiletries, shower cap and, even, a sewing kit. The shower was a BLAST in that it was powerful. Soft towels and they were almost new. All positives. The evening went perfectly. Great bar service and those guys worked hard as never did there seem to be a waiting queue. During this party there was a buffet meal and, once again, the staff were brilliant. They cleared tables without being noticed. That is professional training. Perfect. After a much needed sleep we went for breakfast. Buffet style with freshly cooked full English. Or, if preferred, Continental. Wonderfully thick bacon, delicious. Eggs cooked to order or, ready, scrambled. Once again, staff were working tirelessly but always smiling. A very nice, spacious, restaurant. A wonderful overnight stay and a big thank you to all the staff for their hard work. We often fly from Gatwick and you may find us booking here again as it is only about 8 miles away. One minor niggle, and very minor. Coffee at breakfast could be a little stronger. This may be us as we do enjoy a strong beverage.

I have been staying here for over 3 weeks with work and I couldn't be happier with the staff, they are helpful, Friendly and attentive. Fiona and Sammy deserve recognition from a truly amazing team. The rooms are are spacious and equipped with all you need, any further requests will be happily addressed by the staff.

We have been staying at the Hotel for a few weeks now. After long hours at work, we just wanted to stay somewhere where we can disconnect with work, relax and connect with other people. Nevertheless, I would like to share with everyone that Bar attendant (James) would always go that extra mile to ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Is not just about serving you a drink and taking orders. Excellent customer service by always interacting with customers, offering advice, friendly, accommodative making our staying very pleasant. Stayed here before our flight the next day ,parking was straight forward no problem lots cameras taking photos of car so if problem it's on camera great idea lots security cameras so again car safe . Booking in very quick and easy no problem there only problem was £50 taken out of bank as a just in case this was not returned for a week bit annoying. Room was spacious and comfortable and clean was great for us both . Parking for 15 days was included the price . Dinner was good the beefburgers where massive and tasty ,on return collection of car was 5 mins no problem there taxi to and from hotel by metro cabs was the best yet and cheap we will use again big thanks

Dinner for two was lovely, stayed overnight with dinner and brew included. Elisa who served was fantastic, made us feel very welcome and couldn’t have been more accommodating, the extra effort made the evening very enjoyable. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.
