We recently stayed at the Novotel Montreal Airport and had a great stay. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were spacious. The staff were very welcoming and took great care of us. Thank you to Rose at the Bar! She was amazing and made us feel at home. We met Tony, the General Manager when we checked out. Such a nice guy! Very friendly and welcoming and made sure that we were taken care of during our stay. I would definitely return to the Novotel Montreal Airport if in Montreal again. What a fantastic team!

My husband and I spent a night at Auberge Saint Jacque in Montreal. Such a hidden treasure this Auberge! Very affordable price, yet very comfortable, exceptionally clean, newly renovated hotel. We loved design of our room, it’s functionality and contemporary look. We came very late at night, very tired. Olesya, lady working in reception area, was very friendly, answered all our questions. She was very professional and we felt like we were in right place. Due to coronavirus pandemic we were very concerned about safety, disinfection policies at the hotel. We were pleased to find out that each room routinely sterilized after cleaning according to established protocol. We would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for clean, modern place to stay on a very reasonable budget

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton, so much that we returned within the same month! First off you can’t find a more perfectly located hotel in Laval. The lobby area was recently renovated, with a café section offering coffee and local products. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment to us, as we tried to visit in the morning and no one seemed to want to serve us. However, the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and nice. We booked the Residential suite, which was on a newly renovated floor. The amenities were spotless, gorgeous room with everything you might need. The shower was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. The kitchenette area had a table, and they provided a high chair for our baby when we requested it. After our awkward experience at the restaurant on our first visit, we ordered room service for breakfast the next time .The price is outrageous for the quality of the food and I would not recommend. The pool area is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. There is a hot tub, a dry and a hot sauna, and a perfect heated pool in a relaxing setting. We enjoyed both of our stays and will definitely visit again.

This is only the second time we have stayed in this hotel. Originally we weren't supposed to stay here but Holiday Inn called and told us that during our 5 day stay they wont have hot water so because of that I had to cancel my reservation with them and decided to stay at Courtyard. I could count many things that make Marriot hotels better than Holiday Inn. First Marriot beds are I think the best amongst hotels we stayed in. Second this hotel is very new and is located in a quiet location and lastly as Marriot Gold members we get to have free wifi. All the desktop computers in the lobby are not functioning. I think they should not display them at all if it cant be used. This hotel has one of the most spacious lobbies in this part of Montreal.

I came for a medical training in September 2022. - Bad customer service. Dubious practice on room rates. When I first booked in June, I was told I could book with a preferential rate from the training organiser. It turned out the preferential rate was more expensive than booking at the hotel directly (you get 15% discount if you stay more than 3 nights). I called the hotel, and the lady in charge said they couldn’t do anything, she wouldn’t apply the 15% discount on top of the conference preferential rate. That seemed fair to me, as I understand hotels lost a lot of business during the pandemic and tried to balance the finances. At that time I booked a room with 2 queen beds but I wasn’t sure if my husband and son would join, so I declared it would be for 1 adult only. In September, I contacted the hotel and asked to update the room occupancy to 2 adults and 1 child. THEY CHANGED the room rate and rose the price (instead of less than $1000 for 4 nights, it went to $1300!). When I asked why, they said bc I changed the booking, so they update to the new rate at the time of the change. It is still exactly the same room! I don’t mind paying more in taxes bc more people stay in the same room, but changing the rate, when they knew I was part of the conference and wouldn’t change hotel, was a bit lame… I called the same conference lady and asked if I could revert back to the conference rate. She said no, bc the conference rate has expired and she wouldn’t give it as a commercial gesture because she gets commissions on the bookings… what a bad customer service! Not sure if it was done on purpose, the room I got was a room just outside the elevator, so noisy… And we checked in, the 2 people in front of us complained very loudly about the hotel… - Room not clean and missing toiletries The beds and pillows were comfortable. They didn’t have a duvet cover, but 2 flat sheets… the duvets and the pillows were yellow from stains. The bedside tables were dusty. Carpets dirty (not the same colour, although the same patterns, as the ones in the corridors). In the bathroom, there were only soap bars, no shampoo or conditioners. I only got them because one morning, I saw a cleaning lady in the corridors and asked if she had any shampoos etc. To my surprise, she did and gave them to me. - Conference rooms neglected We had tea/coffees and pastries in the morning of the first day… but they were not refilled after lunch or the days after… unless we asked. And even after asking, we wouldn’t get hot water for tea… The toilets near the conference rooms either had missing hand soap or missing paper towels to dry your hands…. I get it that the hotel wanted to save money after being under occupied during the pandemic… but for a 4 star hotel, I expected better and better customer service. The hotel is well located, in the city centre… but I won’t be back if I have to come to another conference in Montréal.

Very nice location, friendly and helpful staff!! Free breakfast is great, delicious coffee and bagels. But there are not enough toilets. And the kitchen is quite small so it gets very crowded during dinner hours (plus people like chatting in the kitchen while watching a pot of water boiling). I didn't want to line up to use the stove or microwave to reheat my food so I had raw dinner during my stay. If you plan your meals and cooking well enough you should be fine.

Excellent
SSarah and EricThis hotel is conveniently located in the terminal at the Montreal airport. The rooms are large, clean, and modern. It’s a perfect place to crash if you only have a few hours and don’t want to go off-property.
My only complaint is about a staff member’s error. While I had pre-paid for the room, I was asked to place a credit card on hold for incidentals, which is normal. At checkout, I confirmed we were all set (no charges). Later, I found my credit card had been charged over $100 for something. The hotel said they made a mistake a refunded the charge, but I have now been charged an international transaction fee for both the charge and the refund, which is really annoying since I didn’t purchase anything.
We like Hampton Inn Suites by Hilton Montreal-Dorval. The room is spacious and clean. We had a King size bed and a sofa bed for 4 people and it was good. The breakfast was great. This is a busy hotel so sometimes people were hard to find a table to sit and eat. But it was not a big deal.
GGuest UserWe flew into Montreal and stayed one night at the Fairfield. We were picked up at the airport by a courtesy shuttle bus and within minutes we were at the hotel. Check in was very quick and the staff members were very efficient and friendly. Our room was very spacious and had the comforts of home. After putting our luggage in the room we went to the bar for a drink and were taken back by the price of a bottle of beer $10.00 The morning continental breakfast buffet was fantastic with lots of selections. I would highly recommend this hotel and it’s very close to the Dorval Via Train Station.
GGuest UserI recently spent a couple nights at the Sheraton Montreal Airport (one night stays on each end of a trip) and while the stays were good overall, I would say there's a lot of opportunity for the hotel to improve. I've stayed here many times over the years, but I haven't been in a couple years. Returning this time, I felt it was a good hotel with a lot of potential. I just got the feeling there is a lack of attention to detail in a lot of areas. The first night I stayed, there was no explanation of the dining situation. The television stated the restaurant and room service was not available. When I went down to the lobby I noticed the restaurant is in fact running. I'm not sure if room service is also open and the information was outdated. The Club lounge was also closed. They do provide soft drinks and complementary sandwiches which is a decent compromise however. There is a beautiful new fitness centre, but it was initially difficult to locate. It would have been nice that its location was explained when checking in and better signage. After walking around I finally asked a cleaner for its location and eventually found it. The machines don't seem to have television or anything hooked up to them which would be a welcome addition if possible. Overall this is a good hotel with a lot of potential. It felt like things got shut down due to Covid and just never really restarted. While other hotels have made the move back to normalcy, this one still felt like it was in transition. The staff were friendly and the facilities are clean. Some of the furniture is probably due to be replaced, but again we are talking minor improvements. I would return to this hotel, I just hope to see more things back to normal and better communication. Not having room service is a big problem.
GGuest UserWe stayed in July 2022 with my parents and small children. Excellent staff, excellent hotel, excellent perks. Nice hot breakfast, they have a gym, pool and laundry services for a small price. Close to the Oratory of St. Joseph and Old Montreal is about 20 mins away. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future.
GGuest UserFront on the highway side very noisy, at the rear probably less. Sheet metal bed base (don't hit it especially if someone is sleeping). Only one ice machine for the entire hotel. No milk or cream in the fridge for coffee. A few more small adjus**ents, new and clean hotel.
GGuest UserThe room was well appointed if a bit small. Nice shower, big tv, comfortable room. There were multiple USB jacks which is very helpful. The appointments well thought out, lighting where wanted, (I like the small reading light). I have to mention the dinner we had. We expected a typical hotel menu with burgers ext, but we’re pleasantly surprised at the wonderful food. The meat and cheese platter was inspired, I had a salad that was lovely and my wife very Much enjoyed her onion soup. In addition the service was pleasant and efficient.
GGuest UserVery good hotel close to airport. Would definitely return. Pros - amazing staff that are very customer focused (kuddos to the manager and training given) - this is a major differentiator - good gym that has descent equipment - whilst no restaurant or room service, basic food options available next to lobby - shuttle every 30 min to airport (with excellent driver that is also client focused) - good treatment of Ambassador and BonVoy status traveller’s - very good wifi - relatively new hotel Cons - no room service - no hot breakfast - pool has no sauna
LlynnBreakfast is average, but it is still very convenient and cost-effective. The hotel is a few kilometers from the airport, you can see the plane taking off, the children like it. The hotel has a car park and there is also a free bus airport transfer.
GGuest UserWe arrived, exhausted, at midnight on 26th June and were given room 127 on the ground floor for our one night. The advantage was that it was only a 30 second walk from reception, the disadvantages included obviously being right under the flight path, with very poor noise insulation. I’ve stayed in airport hotels all over the world, but never have I felt that an Airbus is about to touch down at the end of my bed. The air conditioning was uncontrollable by the inmate, and came on of its own accord every 5 minutes with a racket that Bon Jovi would have been proud of. More knocking, whirring and pounding than a pneumatic drill. So a good nights sleep, when most needed, was impossible. Good points, the bed was comfy and the bathroom shower was good. The lighting needed to be better though, and the coffee provided was clearly the cheapest possible option, pretty yuk. Finally, breakfast was quite poor with what tasted like powdered scrambled egg, some tiny ‘sausages’ and orange squash, in no was was it orange juice. Finally, when we checked out at 9am, not one person asked us how our stay had been. So now everyone knows. I would not, I’m afraid, recommend this hotel to anyone. Everything seems to be done on the tightest budget. I will be contacting their head office to request some compensation for the lack of sleep.
