completely lose hope! Seriously stepped on the pit, the hotel is too old, the level of refurbishment is the domestic three-star standard, seriously not up to the domestic level, it may be that the location is in a wealthy area, the so-called Shuangwan, you will be even more disappointed after going to the beach! Dirty again! The water in the rooftop swimming pool is up to your knees, can you swim? If there are two more people, it won't be able to squeeze! Next to the construction site!

We loved every aspect of our stay, and were made to feel most welcome from the moment of check in with the delightful Charlotte, in the beautiful foyer. The hotel location is a lovely escape from the busy city centre of Sydney, but still easily accessible by the nearby ferry, or bus. Our room was clean, spacious and had a most comfortable bed, while the Byrdeo bathroom products were a lovely luxury touch. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast daily, and were very well looked after by Raba, who was helpful, professional and attentive, and remembered our drinks each day. The selection at the buffet is fresh and plentiful, with the addition of ordering some made to order items like an omelette from a menu, as well as the ‘make your own juice’ station and the ‘toppings’ for your choice of waffles, pancakes, waffles or crepes, kept all the family members vey happy. The rooftop pool and views were a bonus, as to was the use of the 24 hour fully equipped gym at the side of the hotel. We were made to feel so at home, we did in fact, not want to leave, and are already looking forward to our return when next visiting Sydney.

Loved this hotel...so welcoming by the staff and the rooms are very comfortable....looked forward to coming back every afternoon. Breakfast is wonderful with so many choices....It is also peaceful after the rush of traffic everywhere. A great place to stay.

DEVASTATED!!!! $2000 worth of my IRREPLACEABLE special pieces of my designer limited edition wardrobe (silk Alemais dress and silk 2 piece Camilla suit) 'mysteriously' vanished from our suite, and after months of communicating with management, they still won't compensate me. I have been so stressed for months - the dress is highly sentimental to me, and my all time favourite item in my entire wardrobe. Wearable art. I am so incredibly upset. I feel so unsupported by the hotel and I have a very bitter taste in my mouth that they won't compensate me. Whilst I won't be able to replace the exact items as there are none online even second hand, it would help me to feel less like I've been robbed and unsupported and try and find something vaguely similar. IF YOU HAVE ITEMS OF VALUE - I CANNOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY AT THIS HOTEL OR THEIR CHAIN - your valuables may disappear, and if they do, they likely won't compensate you. It's so scary considering you place trust in those who have access to your room, and especially unexpected in a hotel that starts at $1K per night, you EXTRA have confidence in your trust that your items will be safe. Devastatingly not so with this hotel.

For many years we have worked closely alongside Intercontinental in Double Bay, particularly to hold events for our team. Whilst hosting such events, our team utilised the hotel’s breakfast and rooftop bars. These bars offer a unique perspective of Sydney’s coastal line, with outstanding views, enhanced by their winery and cocktail lists. Additionally, in prior years, our Head Office was located in Double Bay, and we found ourselves visiting the hotel frequently to work from the rooftop, especially in the warmer weather. From beautiful views, light tunes in the background, and exceptional lunch menus to their impeccable service from staff and world-class amenities, Intercontinental Double Bay offers guests a luxurious haven and one of the best office locations in all of Sydney.
