Couldn't have found a lovelier place! Room (Spencer Room) was excellent - bed comfortable and room nice size, bathroom clean, well appointed, and water hot, décor was lovely, kettle with tea and coffee. The community kitchen was excellent - if staying for a few days, it has all you could want to serve yourself. The owner had left provisions for breakfast (including ground coffee and French Press coffee maker - wonderful!!) even though that was not included in the booking. The owner greeted us remotely as we arrived and arranged to meet us later. He was friendly and a good resource of how to tour the castle and places to eat. The location is great - close to restaurants and very near the Castle. This place was way beyond our expectations. Thank you Alex!

Fella 4 doors down said he saw what looked like a lady in Victorian dress pass him on the stairs, he said he was also awoken at 3am by the same apparition standing at the foot of his bed pointing at him. But to be fair he did stink of booze. Not exactly the Chelmsford Hilton but not a bad gaff for the price. Great location, had a feel of a classic hotel about it, bit like the one out of the Shining but with more Jack Duckworth than Jack Nicholson. Drinks in the bar weren't bad but did have to question the scotch as it had an after-taste that bought back memories of intamacy with an ex-Girlfriend who only showered once a week. Situation was sorted imedietely and went onto G&T's with a few Dolly birds up from Hastings so wasnt a problem. A group of locals outside tried to intimidate when one ventured out but after squaring up to the ring leader, fists raised and eyeballs looking like that italian bald ref from back in the day the fella and his cronies sooned backed down. Not sure its a place for youngsters or families but for a 62yr old fella like myself looking for a night away from the Missus its the perfect gaff. Highly recommended.

Not a bad hotel. The reception area is modern and tidy. The staff friendly snd welcoming. We stayed here for 4 nights in a 'Superior Room'. The room was big and ok. The wallpaper was stained and not very nice, obviously they've had problems with a leaking roof or gutter in the past Tea and coffee is provided but be aware there is a charge if you want any more than a cuppa each! The bathroom was ok but didnt have a shelf or anywhere to keep toiletries etc. The hotel is about 12-15 minute walk from the Railway Station, right on the sea front although the beach is a long wsy below, with no easy access. But the walk aling the top is good.
Welcome to View Hotel Folkestone, a member of Radisson Individuals, where cherished memories and exceptional service await you. Enjoy an unforgettable seaside experience at our boutique hotel located on Folkestones famous Leas. Experience the charm and modern comforts of our historic building boasting breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic English Channel.

Advantages: the room is clean, the bed and quilt are comfortable, the beach is out, it is convenient to eat nearby, there is a game hall nearby, three beds to meet family travel, breakfast variety is not much but the taste is OK. Disadvantages: Because of the wooden structure, the sound insulation is not good. No air conditioning, heating. The window of the family room faces the street and does not face the sea. The waiter at the service desk is often absent. Overall in line with expectations.

We were suppose to be staying at another hotel and we left as was awful this beautiful hotel found us a room and we had the most amazing night in the hythe imperial. We stayed in room 204 and it was beautiful, we used the pool and spa twice. The pool is lovely and warm and the jacuzzi is something else. The bed was so comfy and the sea views were special. The reception lady was so helpful on finding us a room and the guy working at the pool was really friendly and welcoming! Thank you guys for rescuing our night away

EEve xieThis is an old couple who runs a hotel located on the hill. They are very kind and treat people very well, especially the breakfast, which is great. Looking at the scenery outside the window, they are enjoying an authentic English breakfast and black tea. . Very good choice in this small town, I will definitely come again next time!
GGuest UserAll the staff are really good, from check in, bar staff and those in Wheelers. We had asked for a room with a bath, and although originally the guy on reception was not sure, whenwe got in the room we did have one. Maybe we should have been told about the scafolding outside the window? Dinner was great. We had not booked breakfast, but since dinner had been so nice we decided to have breakfast. When we got there wew were told that they were so fully booked, but they took us into Wheelers. The small breakfast was superb, and my wife enjoyed her breakfast and latte, what a result that was. Only slight negative about the whole stay was that some glasses and used plates remained outside the rooms, adjacent to our room, but other than that this hotel is really good.
GGuest UserHubert House was great. We were 2 adults and 2 kids in one room. There was ample space. The room had a couch, chair, fridge and desk area. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. The woman managing the house, Farrah, is amazing. We payed for laundry service, dropped off our clothes and left for the day. When we came back, she had all of our things cleaned and sorted. We came in late drenched from the rain. She handed us another bag for wet clothes and then washed and dried those. She left us snacks and breakfast since we were packing out the next day. It was one of my favorite stops in England.
GGuest UserGreat guesthouse to stay, Hayley and Deborah were absolutely lovely and super accommodating when we asked to drop off our luggage before check in time. The room was comfy and really lovely, with an ensuite which is what we were looking for. The house is really well maintained and looked after, great location and lovely staff. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and amazing portions too. Would have been nice to know in advance that there were going to be so many stairs to go up/down (we were in the top level - 2nd), but we managed without any issues at all. Can’t beat their prices, book directly with them to get the best rates. Don’t hesitate and book this B&B for your stay!
GGuest UserThe booking email gives you the code to enter the area with the rooms and your own room but it doesn’t tell you that you need to press a star after you entered the code so it took us a while to work it out and to enter. The car park was full when we arrived and we needed to charge our car but another car was parked in the space for electric vehicles. It was owned by one of the employers so we had to ask him to move it. When we entered room number 2, it was FREEZING! The window had been left open and even when we closed it, the glass was so thin that it felt like it was still open. One of the panels of the blind was broken and hanging. We had to hang a blanket over the blind to block the cold air coming in. With a small radiator in the room, candles we brought from home and a hot shower on, eventually the room warmed up. The water pressure in the shower is very weak so it took me a while to wash my hair to get ready for the evening. We went downstairs for dinner and they were short of staff so it took ages before someone took our order. The food was not great. Chips were fried in old oil and the burger tasted very raw. The Camembert cheese was not melted properly. The breakfast in the morning was not too bad but the one piece of toast they serve was very hard. Again, short of staff in the morning. The coffee machine was not working properly and we had to turn it on and off to get a cup of coffee. The staff are lovely and they are trying their best…
VVanessa HExcellent Father's Day meal, great food, drink and lovely staff. So clean, professional and well organised. I would highly recommend as was suitable and inclusive for a wheelchair user. I was absolutely impressed and had an extremely great time.
I have been there several times because I like this small town and there is an undeveloped garden with a bucket for cigarettes.. the rooms are pleasant. The big problem is that there are three showers/toilets for around 8 rooms and they are not cleaned every day. The hotel is frequented by men a lot and so I didn't feel comfortable at all, especially since their behavior was borderline. The cleaning is average like most budget accommodation but the bedding is clean. So if you have the misfortune of asking something or complaining, the boss politely suggests that you look elsewhere because he has hundreds of happy customers (the good joke) and he is a manager and not a hotelier. Otherwise it's well heated and if you go don't forget to send them by email proof of your identity and that you live somewhere other than their home 😂
