I called Bolingbrook Illinois location directly 3 times. No answer, no voice box. I then called the National phone number, spoke with a representative who knew very little about additional fees or taxes, he did not answer questions about differences in pricing of the rooms. I signed up for rewards to get the lowest rate. When we arrived to the hotel, front desk had 3 people there, and a manager (male), stated that my $108 charge for the room had an additional $250 fee to hold for an overnight stay. He claimed that it's posted on the website. It's not. I told him that my family of 4 will not trash his room , we are staying overnight on the way to Chicago for a graduation ceremony. He charged me $50 extra . Issues with the hotel: 1. Filthy, sticky floors, my cover for the bed had cigarette burned holes in it. 2. Only 2 towels in a room, I had to go get more towels for 4 people in our room. "Clean" towels had long black hairs on them. 3. There is no microwave in the room. Only downstairs. 4. Tile in the bathroom is cracked, sink in the bathroom is cracked . Poor water pressure. 5. The hallway on our 3 floor stunk of smoke and ****. 6. Pool closed. 7. Breakfast was disgusting. 8. Morning staff at the front desk dressed inappropriately, played on the phone while my husband tried to check out, they gave him nasty looks, did not even say good morning, chewed gum and did not speak a word. Unprofessional, poor customer service. 9. People are smoking right by the front doors of the hotel. 10. Parking lot was so bad, the potholes everywhere. Needless to say, we will never get back to this hell hole. Don't waste your money.
