W Dubai - the Palm Reviews

There was so many problems during this stay. We stayed with a pet, we were asked to call beforehand and give all the pet info, which we did, only to be delayed an hour during check-in and asked for all the info all over again. I asked on the phone if a litter-box will be provided or if I should provide my own, they said it will be provided, we didn't get the litter box until night, and it had sand litter which made the room smelly, and they only offered to change it the last day. The next day I asked for in room service for breakfast, we got a large piece of sharp metal inside the food, which was dangerous, the food wasn't good too, we didn't end up eating it, the hotel staff came to see the piece of metal and said they will get back to us. No one did, we still paid for that meal that had a metal and that we didn't eat. Iron had some plastic on it, when I was ironing a new white shirt that I just bought during my trip it got ruined. What did they do about it? They said they can't fix it. The chiller in our room was broken the whole 5 days ouf our stay, they said they will bring a new one but never did. The last day the hot water was messing up, so they upgraded us, but the upgraded room also had hot water problems. The atmosphere of the hotel wasn't exactly family friendly, they have a note saying not to wear religious clothes at the pool which felt very discriminatory, I paid to go to pool of nearby hotels instead as it felt more welcoming. I want to say the workers were really nice nice and friendly, but when I paid more for this hotel than the much nicer nearby hotels just for being pet friendly yet what I was told on the phone and reality were different. Having to pay to go use other pools as you don't feel comfortable in your hotel pool, losing my new shirt, paying for breakfast that had metal and I didn't eat, any other restaurant would replace it or wouldn't make you pay for it. With all that it was a waste of money.
