My stay at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel was truly memorable. The amenities surrounding the hotel were incredible, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and convenience. Just a short walk from the hotel, I found myself at the sea, where I enjoyed serene walks along the shore and the calming sound of the waves.
In the opposite direction, a gentle stroll took me to the nearby hills, providing breathtaking views and invigorating hiking opportunities. The proximity to both the sea and the hills made my stay at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel a unique and enriching experience. The blend of luxury accommodation with such splendid natural surroundings is something I will cherish and look forward to experiencing again.

The hotel is extremely clean and very roomy inside. We were surprised as to how much room we had to lay out our suitcases. The breakfast is very large with many choices. The only issue is that there are not too many restaurants in the immediate vicinity but there is a corner store/supermarket around the corner. It is at least 30 minute drive from Dublin but you can take the Luas.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say that I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The electric kettle in the room was disgustingly dirty, as shown in the pictures. Moreover, our family room had a constant and unpleasant sewage odor that made our stay very uncomfortable. I hope the hotel management takes these issues seriously and addresses them promptly.

Since it isn't located within a walking distance from the city center, it wasn't the best choice from travelers without private vehicles like me. But the room was very spacious and clean. We got an apartment with well equipped kitchen and we were very enjoying our stay

I have brunch every fortnight in the Herbert Park Hotel. The location is wonderful and if youre lucky enough to dine outdoors you have the beautiful Herbert Park as your garden. The staff are very nice, particularly Eveleyn and Marcella who are so welcoming and exceptionally attentive. We look forward to chatting to them each time we go to the hotel. Food is delicious, especially the breakfast bagel, prepared by their chefs, Kieron Paritosh, Alfredo and Came. All the food is delicious really and you get a yummy chocolate brownie with your coffee. I look forward to visiting the Herbert Park Hotel and I would recommend it for its calm relaxing atmosphere, the lovely staff, delicious cuisine and the attention to detail. I should also mention Rupa on reception.....thank you for looking after us.

This hotel is just the right size and in the right place. Not too big, but big enough to have a great bar and restaurant, and located near Baggot Street that takes you a lot Dublin treasures, the National Museum, Trinity University, the Archeology Museum, etc. Baggot Street also has some good restaurants. The Dylan staff is uniformly competent, friendly and charming. On our taxi ride from the airport, our driver, a woman in her 60's pointed out a building a block away and said that it was The Royal City of Dublin Hospital, a ”baby hospital,” where she had been born and where she had delivered her children. The Dylan Hotel served as the dormitory of its nurses for a time. Both the Hotel and the Hospital remain the piece de resistance of Dublin architect Albert Edward Murray. Their distinctive redbrick accented by yellow terra cotta show off in the accompanying photos.

The location of this hotel is good, with excellent restaurants within minutes of walking. The room is spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast is a nice start to the day although if you are staying for more than 2-3 days, a change of menu and food options would be great. Overall, recommended!

Outstanding
GGuest UserFrom booking our stay to checkout, our entire experience was excellent. This is a 4 star, airport hotel, yes... but it's park location, proximity to the city and decor that would be at home in a gorgeous boutique hotel makes for an altogether elevated experience. Nadia could not have done more for us when we called to book and she really set the standard from the get go. Check in was smooth and pleasant and while the room was probably one of the last ones that hasn't been renovated it was huge, clean, comfortable, stylish (maybe very slightly dated) and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, the shower pressure was good and the toiletries were all lovely. The little room snacks were also high quality and very nice. Every other member of staff we interacted with was extremely professional and personable, especially the waiting staff in the bar, where were had 2 very nice coffees. The breakfast was also extremely good and checkout was quick and painless. A taxi to the Grafton St area will set you back about €20 and the number 16 bus goes by, just outside the park very regularly. The parking facilities are excellent and the airport shuttle is incredibly convenient, modern and very clean. It's such a good all rounder. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. I think this is the best value 4 Star in Dublin.
GGuest UserGreat location in Temple bar but without all the noise.
Check in took a little longer that I would like but we arrived at peak time.
Friendly staff and very clean room.
SSteven FaganThe junior staff were amazing, senior staff were up themselves, location was great hotel was clean. The dining area was too small and for a 4 star hotel I would've expected my breakfast served, not help yourself style you would find at a travel lodge. In short over priced rooms no lesuire facilities and for 4 mojitos cost €50 I've had better value for money elsewhere. First and last time I will stay here!!!
GGuest UserFriendly and welcoming staff. Helped us come up with ideas for how to spend our night in Dublin. Breakfast was delicious! The room was satisfactory and served its purpose (being there only one night meant that we were not really staying in the hotel that much). Our view was not scenic but again, not really a problem for us. Great central location and inspires confidence if you wish to use local public transport to get around. Would recommend this hotel for Dublin and go again.
GGuest UserHostels around the world need to take note of what a real hostel is — and that's Jacobs Inn Hostel in Dublin. Located in the center of Dublin and easy to locate, you're greeted with friendly, warm staff who can help you with anything you need. Advice on landmarks, restaurants, events, they have an answer. The commons area is packed full of people working, socializing or just simply relaxing. Music is not too loud so communicating and working is made easy. It's very atmospheric and it's a great place to make new friends on your travels. It's amazing decorated and their bar/dining area is incredible. Breakfast is served and you're offered a good variety to choose from. The rooms, or pods, are clean, well-maintained and the bathrooms are neat. You're afforded privacy in a modern fashion.
GGuest UserLast time I stayed here ( about 6 years ago?) room was dirty so have not been back again until three weeks ago. Location is superb right at the edge of Temple bar along the River Liffey -downside its a party area so like most Hotels in this area dont plan to sleep until late as lots of noise from bars etc. Room was lovely with lots of nice touches -only big issues I had was in 12c Dublin coming from 32c Jakarta and central heating did not work-you have to call reception to get it switched on then it cuts off every hour and does not work again until you call reception-totally unacceptable for a 5 star Hotel . Ended calling them five times so not much sleep!! It was a Tuesday night so looked like one of the bars in the Hotel was shut-but lots outside anyhow. Did not have breakfast as last time I did was served-took ages and was cold-judging by recent reviews on tripadvisor looks like this still. Reception on check in and out would not win any prizes for their hospitality and were just ok-could learn from The Morrison across the river where I stayed a few nights earlier -genuine hospitality. Would I stay there again -NO -leave it to Bono and the locals -heat is a basic requirement as is hospitality-better Hotels for the same or less money to be had in Dublin City.
AAaronExcellent hotel, staff extremely nice and can’t do enough for you, rooms are nice and modern and the breakfast was superb !! Would definitely stay again.
GGuest UserI stayed in a 4 bed mixed dormitory. Beds were very clean, and there waa enough space to store my travel belongings. There was no noise from other rooms, and the shower and toilet inside the room was clean and functional too. 15 to 20 minute walk to Temple Bar, another 10 minute from Temple Bar to Trinity Collegr. Had no problem walking from the accomodation to other points of interests in Dublin. Overall, a great value for travellers. Tip: Do reserve breakfast. The bread is warm if you go in the opening hour, and you can eat enough to last for both breakfast AND lunch while walking all day. Save the lunch budget for better dinner.
EElias KletterNew hotel with fresh renovation. Beautiful, safe. The area is also new, but a little away from the center, closer to the airport. It's a bit far to go to the city.
GGuest UserLovely budget hotel about 20 mins walk from Temple Bar area. Upon arrival nothing was too much and a warm welcome from Diana , giving us a coffee as we had come in on an early morning flight. Rooms were clean and basic. Comfortable bed , lovely clean shower room with powerful shower. A bit tight for room but it was only a base to get our heads down and change. There is a vending machine for morning coffee … easy walk into town… just follow the tram tracks , and easy for the Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Distillery. Excellent value for money if you’re going to be spending most of your time away from the hotel , but comfortable enough to unwind for a few hours too.
